I don't know why this wasn't received better. I found out about it during the storytime here and I was immediately in love with it. Only gripes I had with it were the rushed ending. Granted I'm a sucker for all things tragic and bittersweet but I thought it had a lot of other things going for it as well.

I caught the tail end of this manga and I can say there’s a significant difference between fights with the main duo and fights with a separated cast. The quality really fell off when the focus was on other characters I did not care about and there were a lot of them apparently.

UU taught me how to love SJ manga besides One Piece again, and then its cancellation and the one-two-three punch of Wano sucking shit, Egghead sucking shit, and another Strawhat separation beginning arc taught me to hate Shonen Jump and One Piece.
