I understand why people get hung up on sexual chemistry in an alleged romance story, but mermaids do not sexually reproduce. The writing can obviously just ignore this, but Lara and Lisa and even Kota seem entirely asexual even in their human forms.Mari is focused on boxing, Gon-chan, and making sure her new friend is happy on their little prince mission. Luca's friend group playfully asks about his love life, and he totally shuts them down. The only overt sexuality in the show so far might be Mari's brother shutting his legs when Lara talks to him.Lara initially becomes fascinated with humans after seeing a doll and biting its head off. I wonder if the yandere/blade side of Lara will take control of the narrative if things don't start progressing soon.
