Anticipating english translations soon...

been reading the initial translations...

starting to get worried that child sacrifice might be required to delve further

(no spoilers on the new chapter below)
>Srajo wanted to get moving with the nuggets and was willing to leave Nna-chan behind
>Seems to need the nugs for something outside their powers
>Riko summoned by her mother despite knowing she's a fleshy potato child
>why did they want Tepaste as a candidate so young
>the village of Irumuii said a child is of the highest value (why?)
>Ozen keeps a child as her student
>Bondrewd ran experiments almost solely on children
>the cradle when given to children mutates them but they have clearer desires than adults

There's already a lot to unpack. Looks like this chapter starts addressing the origin of Hail Hex and it's up to the reader to determine if their goals are noble or not
>>
>>290254783
I'm more curious about what a 'Beast Stone' is after hearing dickcheese talk about it. Were they installed in the hail hex squad at Bondrewds? Kinda looks like it in Nyozels flashback.

legu? what are you doing, sosu?

>irredeemable
>>
>>290254783
lmao anon imagine if Nanachi counts as two sacrifices because she is bonded to mitty
>>
>>290254783
I still think Riko wasn't summoned by her mother but interpreted the hariyomari fragment (written on a relic in ancient runes btw) as her mother calling for her
Which given the current chapter may be the cognito hazard thingy luring her into the abyss
>>
>>290254659
why do russian translations occur so quickly? took them like a day.

Why has Tsukushi named his stream after Mori's music?
Is this like hom unironically liking Kordan Peele's weird race grifter movies?
Is our boy turning spiritually black?

The accusation is that they steal the Rnglish one to speed up the process.

>melted AI hands
Christ it's sad when people can't even make their own shitposts.
>>
>>290255196
lol so they're just getting a bad copy that misses all the nuance of language... super important when dealing with situations where a word could mean something else

Noone talking about the fact that the incinerator

>rewrites the rules of the abyss
>the abyss is a big chasm
>reg blows his load
>passes out afterwards
>effectively gave birth to Faputa (free of the village)

It's going to be a massive intercourse reveal and reg is the sperm cell
>>
>>290255196
that reminds me, I should test Qwen3.8-27B on the latest chapter
Obviously T-scale cloud models have obsoleted human translators, but local AI might even work now as well

Got 30 out of 40 chapter pages typeset last night. Will finish the rest after work today and possibly also the extras too if the TL is ready. Then we'll do a QA dump.

Also you cannot convince me this evil pirate woman is actually evil. But maybe I am, infact, a rube.
>>
>>290255592
worth seeing what it does, but AI doesn't nuance well

I hated this panel. Because I think it's the calm before the storm. Nugs gonna die and their wish is to be the sacrifice that Srajo needs. Or something. Maybe Ozen was wrong about the other White Whistles and Srajo is the best character...

But all those whistles mean something
>>
>>290255592
It's always really funny how midwitts and below see AI as some silver bullet that can do everything better than humans. When in fact, as soon as you gain any amount of expertise in a subject, you learn that AI in fact can not do that task at all.
It's always just an admission of being a mesicore waste of air who's not skilled at anything whenever someone tries to say AI has made any human endeavor obsolete.
>>
>>290255317
Possibly. Though I can't read Russian or Japanese, so I can't verify that.

In my experience as a polyglot it's been superb at translating between two languages, it's probably the one thing it can do very well, even though you still need to know what you're doing to see if it misinterpreted something or lacked some story context because its memory is very limited
>>
>>290256435
>as a polyglot
What languages?
>because its memory is very limited
Current AI models don't have memory in the traditional sense. They run the entire conversation every time you make a new prompt. That also why you can very easily "injection hack" them.
>>
>>290256554
>languages?
English, Spanish and Portuguese
>they don't have memory
correct, they keep track of the entire conversation in a little summary that they add back into the prompt but that summary can get too large and it breaks down so it needs to be limited, which is effectively the same thing as having a limited memory of sorts
>>
>>290256616
I know I'm a pedantic asshole right now, but that's only 3 of the 4 required to be a polyglot.
Still it's interesting to hear the opinion of a trilingual.
In my own experirnce it is incredibly bad at translating between the two only languages I'm able to speak.
>which is effectively the same thing as having a limited memory of sorts
Sure, it's just much easier to compromise and thus way less reliable than if they had a way to give the model actual memory.
>>
>>290256616
>English, Spanish and Portuguese
The differences between these languages, and the difference between English and Japanese are a world apart.

>polyglot
>two(3) Indo-European tongues
>>
>>290256764
>>290256769
Yeah that's fair enough, but from what I've seen it's perfectly able to compare nuance between one language and the other and tell you why one choice might be better than the other, and why one choice might be good for one country and context but not the other
>>290256716
>4 required to be a polyglot.
I would assume the poly- starts at 2?
>>
>>290256817
Depends on if you take the more traditional definition that's specifically 4 or more or if you use the more modern definition that's just a person able to understand and use more than one language.
In which case I think the majority of this thread would be polyglots.

So Craghetti decided to join Undernest after learning of the Calamitous Writings. I wonder if that means he actually interacted with them or not. Because if so, that might need the ticket /ourguy/ needs to make his triumphant return. Some cognitohazard curse that will get him up and going again. But at what cost I wonder.
>>
>>290256769
Slightly worse anon, he speaks two latin languages, which are far closer related.
It's like someone saying they speak 3 languages because they can understand Danish, Swedish and Norwegian.

>the ticket /ourguy/ needs to make his triumphant return. Some cognitohazard curse that will get him up and going again.
What's with the /x/ SCP larping?
>>

I dunno. I don't know anything about SCP and I've never been to /x/.
>>
>>290256947
Being able to understand and being able to speak a language are two entirely different things, I can probably understand French, Italian, Romanian and whatever is in between to different degrees but at best they sound like someone with a very heavy accent and strange choice of words/phrasing and at worst completely unintelligible because the shared root word hasn't been used for centuries in my language
It's like a normal uneducated person reading Shakespeare and somewhat understanding it versus actually being able to speak 16th century english
Not to contradict your point though, they ARE basically the same language at heart
>>
>>290257064
>Being able to understand and being able to speak a language are two entirely different things
Agreed, which is why I used a set of "languages" that is generally considered to be a dialect continuum instead and are for the most part mutually intelligible acording to the speakers of the "language".
It's my mistake for not making that clearer.

I don't think he's coming back, no reason for him to
We'll probably get new flashbacks of him though, he must have a bigger part in the story overall

Tsukushi is an evil bastard. They just wanted to be together...
>>

Don't worry. Riko will see them reunited before the end.

It does translate into Hungarian. Which is somewhat similar to Japanese.
