Apart from the typical shitpost thread I'd like to talk about the question if people can tell who is artifiacial and in what circumstances. As you might know in ep7 they made the joke that Motoko was some missing robot they brought back. So how could they tell Motoko's body was artificial? When Batou issued the warrant for Puppetmaster's arrest he said they should check a person's weight to tell if they were robot like there was no other method. So how does it work? Why don't people think Batou was a robot with his freaking eyes?

For Motoko, I'd bet it is the flawless beauty that is in line with most men's taste that is what they are going off of. The major looks like a supermodel and in a setting where sexy androids are common and full body prosthetics are uncommon, seeing a perfect looking women, it's a horses not zebras thing. Given that even Section 9 uses sexy Operators, it is not exactly a hard leap to make either.
