>Nearly 6 months without a new chapter
It's dead, isn't it?

RIP Morikawa
>>
He is in recovery and apparently already made a couple chapters
It's unlikely to finish, but it's not dead yet
>>
>>290258318
Last I checked, Morikawa was wasting his time posting nonstop on Twitter
>>
Morikawa saw what happened to Toriyama and Miura (his old assistant) and figured it was better to slow down than die.
>>
>>290257933
Morikawa has two chapters ready and three more to finish, he was hospitalized, had surgery, and is now taking it slow so he doesn't die.
It is kinda funny that this happened right on maybe the biggest cliffhanger the series has ever had tho
>>
>>290258481
Toriyama died to a head injury.
>>
Do you think Morikawa even knows the answer to his own question about "What does it mean to be strong?"
>>
>>290259024
I think he is setting up a clash of ideals between Ricardo perceiving strength to be the equivalent of a mountain you can scale and Ippo perceiving it like a bottomless ocean you can never grasp the full depth of
I doubt that after 3000 chapters Ippo will simply achieve the epiphany that strength was the friends he made along the way and credits roll
>>
The whole Ippo retirement/punch drunk arc was a mistake. Either fully commit to Ippo having brain damage and settling down with his gf, or have him continue on as a boxer. This will he/won't he bullshit has taken up years of work and the whole "leaves his gf at the hospital at her lowest moment" was terrible.

OHHHHH!!!

Ippo retiring and exploring life outside boxing was needed and it lead to some great moments, the problem is all the timewasting bullshit that occured beforehand
>>

like 8 months ago you glued two seperate pages and discarded their context, and are to this day seething about the "plothole" you yourself created
Why?
>>
We all know that Sendo can't win but if George is dying do you think he'll just have Sendo win and end the series with yamato damashii straight up?

The manga has been taking a more pessimistic approach to boxers like Sendo recently so him winning would be pretty unlikely

THESE BOXING MATCHES ARE INCREDIBLE!!
I can't believe them!

It's probably one of the worst writing in fiction that I've read. Ippo really showed he is a coward with zero conviction or empathy. Dunno how Japs took that chapter but I bet they made excuses for Ippo for acting like terrible person.
