Let me guess... something happened, like Stella’s parents died in a airplane crash. She loved airplanes when she was younger, and Araki was her childhood friend. He awakened her powers or whatever, and altering Stella’s perception of reality, etc. Later, Araki realized what he had done, but he kept it going for years because he didn’t want to see Stella suffer. And all of this started when Araki and Stella were very young.
