>>290291199The original PSG was just a novelty show that lived and died by its aesthetic and didn't have anything going for it outside of it and the team knew that hence why they made the cliffhanger ending a huge joke so that the notion of a continuation would be retarded so from the get go the foundation of the sequel feels unwarranted and so much of S2 feels like spitballing to find a premise more than anything but I think what hurts it most is that none of it feels fresh which is what gave S1 the biggest edge back when it was airing so its no surprise that S2 didn't leave much impression then again Trigger is kinda above doing stuff like this nowadays.

I think this is design-wise the coolest fucking show out there. And there were some great/hilarious segments. I think the whole ending was underwhelming, but not enough to ruin my high./a/ has an annoying tendency to have popular shows end and then threads get created for the next year exclusively by autistic schizos with a hateboner (CITY), or equally autistic shippingfags (insert cdgdc here).

>>290291418The sequel was fine but I also found that it was kind of safe-gross/safe-edgy and the reason they doubled down even harder on ecchi than the first season was to hide the fact that they scrubbed out all of the religious imagery, Garterbelt being a racial stereotype and all of the hebephilia jokes.On one hand I actually think the sequel was funnier than the original season but not at the cost of it actually pushing buttons and being 'offensive'. It would have actually been even funnier if it didn't try to play it safe. I'm just fucking salty that they neutered Garterbelt with no mention of him being a gay bondage pedo or doing anything with his black criminal becoming a born-again christian backstory.
