I often see yuri fans argue that they dislike male targeted straight romance because the relationship moves too slowly or lacks early physical affection like kissing. However, if that's truly what they're looking for, shoujo and josei series are packed with those exact tropes. The fact that many still avoid those demographics makes it feel like their complaints about pacing are just a cover for their true motivations.
