The show is actually a decent fantasy adventure in the middle after the first big incident, when it's basically the most divorced from its Isekai format and actually has a standard fantasy premise (kid is forced to make his way back home through a harsh and dangerous world, but has magic to even the odds)Outside of that it's basically just pure shit again. It's frustrating really because out of all the Isekai series it is still "the best" but is not capable of escaping all the wankery that weighs the genre down. He has three wives before he hits 20, the author just could not help himself.

Welp, I'm torn after reading all of that. Maybe I'll just watch till the end of the first season and get drunk to avoid second hand embarrassment. And to be honest I don't hate everything about the show, I think it has some good traits, but the protagonist cringes the shit out of me from time to time.
