I enjoyed this chapter. Plenty of Riko. I'm guessing the next one or two will be a mix of Menae backstory and Reg, Srajo and the others facing off against these new jobbers. One thing that I am a bit concerned about though, is that this suddenly feels like it really is the bottom of the abyss, like once they reach this gate thing, the secrets of the universe will reveal themselves... I hope it's an actual gate to another lower level and not some abstract sort of "gate" to something else. This whole arc is feeling more and more like a finale rather than the penultimate arc, but maybe I'm way off. I hope so anyway. Maybe it's just the amount of lore being revealed that is giving me that impression. Maybe it was already implied that there is a level below the seventh, but based off of the abyss map, it seems as though the bottom of the seventh layer is the bottom of the abyss. Admittedly these chapters are so sporadic that I keep forgetting shit that happened one chapter ago. I've been reading this way for years...

They say that the miko's group won't allow anyone to pass this point. So they're going to have to deal with them before they can proceed further. That will be the main conflict of this layer. Then there is whatever is actually at the bottom.It doesn't even look like they've reached the long vertical birth canal looking part yet.
