As for the differences in ending... it's pretty much the same, the epilogue does show a different event IIRC but the idea of how the characters end is the same.There are other major differences between both mediums during the story tho even if the ending is pretty much the same. The manga obviously has way more content, but some people criticize that the reasons behind Yuuko's death in the manga are kinda retarded while in the anime it makes a bit more sense (the anime also adds an extra layer in the connection Yuuko has with Teiichi that isnt present in the manga)
