One of the ones pictured is not like the others.Come to think of it, Guilty Crown was the first instance of overproduced garbage anime with a shit story.It went with a style over substance approach and prioritized character design, flashy effects, and generic "hype" music over a good story.

Got way too convoluted and introduced a bunch of dumb bullshit just to loop back around and basically just end in the same place that the first half ended anyway. You could cut the second half entirely, stitch the ending of the first season and the finale together, and have a much better show. You'd probably not even be able to tell the difference.
It was very clearly trying to capitalize on Code Geass's popularity, but had none of the charm. Consider: Lelouch was a man of action who proactively moves the plot along. On the other hand Shoe is a guy where things just happen to him. There were a short few episodes where he actually did take some action but otherwise he was a very boring reactive protagonist.Also>the world ends because Shoe wouldn't sex his sister
