dunno why that nigga posted a fucking viz link
>>
>>290379427
the viz sites redirects me to mangaplus, and mangaplus is the paywall I was talking about...
that was, until the last 10 minutes apparently, because now it is free like it should have been. It was probably a mistake by their settings

Still sad about how far this fell.
The Neverland threads were some of the most fun I had in the 10's.
>>

Mine doesn't redirect to anything and it's free on Viz
Might be because I'm not in the US?

Getting some closure on the Ayshe storyline is the only thing I wanted out of the manga but I knew I would be disappointed if we ever actually got it. Of course, Emma (who looks even more like a boy now) just hugs the revenge out of her and the storyline ends. Nothing is resolved. The three pages of "what if" were okay I guess but wouldn't have worked if they were real either.

I remember the circlejerk threads when this shit was being serialized. You couldnt say anything bad about it. And now everybody agrees the first arc was the only good one.

>First arc
Maybe for the anime. The general sentiment was that it was still good up through Goldy Pond. The very moment they hid the reveal from the reader at the end the series took a nosedive. Every successive chapter made the series worse.

Yeah, mangaplus also asked me for a subscription to see the chapter for like the first 15 minutes (Europe), I guess it was an error and they quickly fixed it

Time makes fools of us all, Anon.

I'm just now realizing this mangaka(s) had a bunch of works between the end of the manga and this chapter that have almost zero coverage

After Emma and Norman, I can’t even remember the third kid’s name

>Cool mistery
>cool character
>so much potential
>must lock in on some path to complete the story
> complete disappointment
Many such cases.

Normanbros...
>>
I read every chapter as they came out and to be honest I had no memory of Ayshe except that I kinda remembered seeing that name before.
>>
>>290384797
I have to wonder what was Shirai attempting at that point.
Everything after Goldy Pond just felt like "something should stick, right?" one after another.
>>
>>290384797
Same, then looked her up then vaguely remembered sniper girl and the weird hot topic super human squad
>>
>>290384797
Exactly the same for me, the name sounds vaguely familiar but just the name. I have almost no memory of the series beyond the first arc, it's actually rather impressive how forgettable it became.
>>
This manga would have had such a better legacy if it just ended when they escaped with no answers. People would have been pissed but we would still be talking about how good it was.
>>
TPN represents perfectly the main problem of shonen manga nowadays: the mangaka can't do characterization. They only care about muh plot twists.
