Any OGs would know that during this arc, and between this one and the next there was a gigantic hiatus where there was no translations for what, a few years? It fucking SUCKED

>>290391318I just shot them a lot, don't know if there is a proper way to do it
Labyrinth the paper version is an interesting one because it's the type of game that could easily be taken in different directions depending on the style of the manga. Like I could easily imagine a short Liar Game arc about labyrinth that was far more focused on the more grounded game theory aspects of how to build your maze and sus out the opponent's than the grandiose rugpulls and mindgames Usogui excels at. Kind of makes me want to see a gimmick where multiple gambling/mindgame mangaka each take a crack at writing a specific gamble in their own styles.

>>290388464I've said this before, but the Private Funeral Division is the coolest name for an antagonist faction in all of media. No, there's never been a better one, I checked.
>>290386084>>290386129why is this sequence so funnyI'm chuckling but I don't know why
>>290391809Yeah it's very cool and, I can't find the right word, threatening? Grave? (heh) While sounding professional.
>>290388447>>290389092 This is a really interesting discussion, because this is basically a metahuman (captain America-tier musculature) versus a metahuman (daredevil tier instincts while not awake). The obvious answer I think here is that Minowa no-diffs anyone if he has the initiative like this, there's not much Caracal can do against a dude with twice the force from this position and he doesn't seem like a grappler. I think a more interesting answer is that Minowa is naturally kind of cocky so he'll play around with Caracal and probably lead to a more even fight when Caracal inevitably gets nocked out, since Amado here doesn't actually want a diplomatic incident in killing him. Anyway, that's my thesis.
>>290386084it's here, the exact moment Usogui becomes a 10 out of 10 manga experience.
>>290391468>a short Liar Game arcNao-san! Nao-san! I've found a surefire way to have this game end in a tie! We just have to not draw any walls in our labyrinths! Then, we can take turns winning the round and come out even! For this first round, I'll move first!
>>290387019Kek
>>290391954lol
>>290388504 Only Minowa here doubles as a hitman, everyone else in the Funeral Division is basically just a hitman/STRONG NEN-wielder turned into a cop paid to fight against an enemy of the state. I don't think the state formally employs them as hitmen
>>290388876>People die when they are killedI love my son Marco so fucking much
>>290389533looks like a jewish hat
>>290392018I agree they're not formally employed by the state. As for being hitmen or fighting against enemies of the state, is there a difference? I think it's implied that the PFD is an obscure assassination unit, like how the assault team heard rumors that the Hurricane guy got picked up as a combatant for a secret unit. And Sasaoka sends them in against the ACIA.
>>290386618FUARRK
>>290385680On a hindsight, on first time reading, you would thought that Leader is egotism that he dóe care enought about Baku to remember him, but on second time reading this, it might be because Leader legit forgot about him
>>290392254Definitely.
>>290392018I think they deserve a bit more credit than that
>>290388311Val Kilmer as Chris Shiherlis from Heat, complete with ponytail.
>>290391954>For this first round, I'll move first!Would she really say this?
One thing that always bothered me about the upcoming gamble is how Marco manages to be on the right rooms at the right timeWe are shown how the others manage to do it but Retardo is own his own
>>290392155 Yeah, that is a good point. At the end of the day they're referee level and getting paid to fight, not so different from certain later groups. That said, I can't really see some of them as assassins like the weird egg guy
>>290392601It's from the perspective of the opponent talking to Nao.
>>290392627I dropped the manga so I have forgotten the names, I assumed you were speaking as that super honest girl.
>>290392624He is definitely goofy. I like his philosophical speeches, he struck me as a true neutral character.
>>290392602 I like to think Marco just has retard luck
>>290388587>>290388629The scene from Heat in question.
>>290392602it's slightly up to luck, but remember that the opponents are communicating so they can avoid Marco easily.and I don't think Marco enters any room at the right time by luck, does he?
>>290392878Near the end when he fights Minowa
>>290392889doesn't he literally just follow him?
Has anyone been keeping track of Baku's rock paper scissors results? I always mean to but I forget to whenever I re-read it. So far I know he's at least lost to Kaji. Were there any others?
>>290392944I never actually considered doing that, I'll see if I can notice anything
>>290392944Baku also lost to Sadakuni. That's all so far, I think.
>>290392944He "lost" to the terrorist, but that'd up in the air cause his hand transformed.
>>290392971Thanks, I'm terrible about remembering storytime threads.>>290392992I'd count it as a Sadakuni win.I went back and check and against both Kaji and Sadakuni he played rock, too.
>>290393083Good ol' rock. Nothing beats that.
>>290388876>>290388914
>>290386618Mother fucker I told you guys.... >>290387174I FUCKING TOLD YOU GUYS THE REF IS RETARDEDIT WAS SO FUCKING STUPID FOR HIM TO NOT REMOVE THE MONEYI DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT THIS MANGA BUT IT WAS OBVIOUS TO A RETARD LIKE ME THAT HAVING BILLIONS OF YEN LAYING AROUND WAS STUPID NOW LOOK WHERE THIS FUCKING RETARD OF A REF ISHE IS FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE TO PROTECT THIS MONEY. WHO COULD HAVE PREDICTED THIS WOULD HAPPEN? OH YEAH EVERYONE EXCEPT HIMWHAT A RETARD I HOPE HE IS KILLED
>>290394783There is going to be a character that you'll like
>>290394783If he was fighting it would be to protect his own life and nothing else
>>290387254>>290387291Okay, I know people take the piss out of this moment for being a near-literal "kick the dog" moment, but it's really the context here that makes it so abhorrent. Yukiide, who we all assumed was completely unconscious, overheard Amakos entire act and his reveal that he really was just using him the whole time, latching onto him for, well, anything really. Instead he gets two whole panels worth of stone cold deliberation before Amako just casually kicks him aside in quiet indignation before turning to walk ahead. He truly feels no remorse for what he did to Yukiide and considers him nothing more than a nuisance to be nudged out of his way. And then Yukiide Senior getting fucked even harder by Amako, who relishes in it, is just the cherry on top
>>290386084ENTERI actually don't get his popularity despite I like him as well
>>290388981To add to this, he built the Bastille solely so that all the aristocrats dicking around in pre-revolution France could have all the political prisoners they wanted
>>290388396The only time they're seen again is the Yakou oneshot, and because Yakou damages Samemarus ears during the oneshot, it's only a prequel appearance
>>290388934Kek yeah right, if he was a cardinal that means the real reason was he was scared of being assassinated with a steak knife
>>290395451 He's a sleazy japanese hercules, it's not that deep. He's a very cool bad guy
>>290389502Thanks OP
>>290395841>He's a very cool bad guyI agree
>>290386084I imagine his voice actor being Fujiwara Keiji since he reminds me of that 1 character from Majikoi! :(
>>290395451Superman Syndrome with Gumshoe detective design
>>290389016I mean it *is* the first time he does his serial killer routine on-page
>>290389309You'll see
>>290389309as a symbol of orderretard
>>290389563Referencing not only the Seiichi Obfuscation but even how their relationship is the exact opposite in plain sightAre you the anon that posted BEHOLD, ONE MAN?
>>290389309I think its just a pretty version of a raft foundation
>>290390288I mean it kinda makes sense if you think about it. His dreams just highlight whatever is being mulled about in his subconscious mind, which allows Baku to go into further (conscious) contemplation about them. It's basically an extension of his lie detecting abilities. I got fucking nothing for Kajis usage though, other than maybe it's more obvious or surface or he worries about them, I don't know
>>290396805does Kaji "use" it again? The instance we saw here was meant to indicate that he's learning and slowly reversing his sucker transformation and to leave it as a setup for when it happens later again to others.
>>290392602It's because Kadokura made Marcos and Minowas labyrinth paths intersect a lot, so they'd be guaranteed to fight each other at some point. This meant that when Marco chased after Minowa after their first fight, he was retracing his own steps while advancing along Minowas
>>290396897I don't think so, the next time he dreams is during his fight with Floyd Lee, and all he gets is "you need to get over your trauma, Kaji"
>>290388629>>290388662kek
Usogui the FRAILKaji the RAPISTMarco the RETARDEDKyara the UNHINGED
>>290386084ENTERRRRRRRRR
>>290389502Forgot to say thanks "OP"
>>290389502thanks op. the shit grinning cop reminds me of a side character of a somewhat popular vn. and then i realised he's not the only one, and many side characters were actually a parody of baku characters. i guess baku was (is) really popular.
>>290397545>Usogui the FRAILHe FoTNS'd that one referee, you better stop lying>Kaji the RAPISTMy lawyer has told me to not comment on this topic at this time>Marco the RETARDEDOur boy is handsome and intelligent, this is slander>Kyara the UNHINGEDI think you meant to say the BULLY
>>290386728kino, almost as if he was a stand
>>290397545>>290397815Karl forgotten yet again...
>>290397881Karl wasn't mentioned because he is the HERO
>>290397881Karl the FORGOTTEN
>>290387664the glares this arc were top notch
ty OP, I am catching up todayQuestion for fellow goomblers>Do you have a snack or meal you eat while reading the daily?I ate Fritos a lot when I first read Usogui 2 years ago. I am eating them, and always crunch them when he crunches his strange candy.
>>290387979Every time I see Kyara getting mad over small shit like that I get reminded of Zebra
>>290397881Karl the PANTPISSER
>>290394783You're already dead, Yukiide
>>290394783Not removing the yen was his prerogative as per his organisations rules. The reason he didn't was to stay neutral. The reason why he's neutral is only properly explained near the end of the manga
>>290398338>his strange candy. It's a plum. But no I don't have anything particular that I snack on during these daylies
>>290386084>>290386129I'm looking forward to these niggas' shenanigans then.
>>290386129Two of them
>>290386618Marco the sneaky!
>>290386988Oh? Pompadourman isn't so neutral anymore.
>>290387406I can't believe Baku befriended such a scum.
>>290387944He's quite sharp.
>>290395451There's nothing to get hes just a cool dude
>>290386618THREE MAN!?
>>290395671Does this look like a man afraid of steak knives?
>>290396341No, he was already doing it before, he just didn't do the meek thing
>>290400648The warehouse meeting fight isn't the first example because he didn't ingratiate himself with the sweeper beforehand. That's the key difference between that moment and this one
>>290400703Fair enough
