TYBW Aizen is way stronger than any of the Aizen forms that Dangai Ichigo fought, and TYBW Aizen still gets fodderized by Yhwach. There's no way that Dangai Ichigo would do anything meaningful to Yhwach. He would tear him apart repeatedly, as Blood Chains Ichigo did, and then be forced to use Mugetsu, and then die when Yhwach just regenerates as if Mugetsu was any regular Getsuga Tensho. Is Dangai Ichigo cooler, design-wise? Yes. Stronger than Blood Chains? No.

Anime staff were literally allowed to create their own fake endings for the series. Full Metal alchemist is a pretty obvious example where more than half the original anime is entirely bullshit. Back then creators could quite literally rewrite anything.Over time people grew to respect "canon" more, so people stopped liking directors that strayed from canon. If the series was to be altered they at least wanted it to be signed off on or co-written by the original writer, otherwise its just fanfiction. The story exists in the head of the original writer, its hard for anyone else to convincingly continue the story.
