I'm also struggling to think of anything that Beatbreak does particularly well. The world building feels like slop. The show begins with this whole idea of classism and division between them, but then does nothing with it. The show talks about surveillance and AI but it mostly just mentions them but never dives into them at all. The crimes that are committed in this world such as human trafficking are just mentioned and never delved into.Like where's the good exploration of mature themes that everyone talks about?

Completely unbalanced given how they were originally depicted.I also now believe - given recent merchandise releases - that Miharu was designed solely to be a role for Ayane Sakura and was not part of the original Beatbreak plans, which would explain Rose being reduced to almost nothing in the third story arc and Brilliant Thorn being complete jokes of characters in said arc. Despite Miharu's significance in the GIFT arc, she is the only main character of note who has not got any merchandise of herself outside of key visual artwork and crossovers with another Sakura character. They have no god damn hobbies or bond over anything specifically. The character dynamics between them hasn't been explored since Reina and Tomoro were arguing early on. Since then there's been not even a shred of conflict between them besides Kyo's fake-ass betrayal. I struggle to think of a time Tomoro and Makoto just fucking talked to each other and bonded over ANYTHING.
