Fuutarou is never able to figure it out himself because there are no clues. He just gets told the solution at the very end and that's it. The reader is supposed to accept that because that's what he's being told. The reader could be told any of the other 4 solutions and they are perfectly as viable because there's no evidence in the story supporting, or disproving either of them.And the same is true for the entire story of this manga as a whole.It's a terrible romcom and a very sad excuse of a "mystery" it was being peddled as to make it look more intriguing.
