What would you have changed or added in overlord, if you had the chance? I would:>introduce a character who was a level 1 human player that also got isekai'd>he gets stronger way faster because he some P2W experience booster, since he's part of the noble elite. He's a naive and sheltered 'good guy' who glosses over the inequality in the original worldI think this would be a pretty neat parallel with Ainz, as well as letting people see the world they came from and giving a potential challenger to Ainz.

It's too merciful if you want to portray him as slowly becoming evil, and WAY too evil to portray him as merciful. The arc comes off the back of him protecting a village from bandit raids and rescuing one of his NPCs, and is sandwiched with another rescue mission. He defeats a would-be assassin with his bare hands, mostly for threatening his friends. I understand the whole point of the anime is to showcase a leveled out player isekai'd and the pragmatic choices he'd make as a for-real undead lich-king, but if you're going to make him evil, make him evil. Don't make him mostly ok and then have him randomly slaughter a village AFTER PROTECTING ONE. It's tonal whiplash for the show to portray him putting dozens of men to the sword for the crime of being in his way, before turning around and going "yeah this guy is actually pretty chill, look at how he protects these people".

Everything that they do good or bad, is only ever seen through the people living it. In the end they lose, Ainz dies and wakes up back in the real world feeling somewhat satisfied with himself.

I'm glad none of the anons above had anything to do with storyboarding it, at least. I've read several hundreds of isekai LNs and WNs but remain animeonly with Overlord, out of respect.
