In S1, it was about running into characters and working out differences and rescuing people while also uncovering plots. S2 has just involved rescuing a big group, getting a message, heading off and then rescuing a big group, over and over again. I mean, foxlady joined the group and her whole personality is just "reads romance fiction" and that's it. No sort of double-cross betrayal because of past history, or misunderstanding of humans, or Ariane having some secret conflict about her parents testing Arc, or anything else. It's like the most boring D&D party, where everybody just meets in a bar and then decides to work together because they all know they're the PCs.And I am enjoying S2. Sometimes, I just want to have a simple good time, and chopping up monsters and saving people is a simple good time. But I'll agree that S2 isn't very good compared to S1 or compared to what I'd hope it could be.
