Chapter 19.1.Dark days in yuri of yore.
time for our favorite soon-to-be-lesbian dork
It's a Kasumi's ex chapter.I wonder how many have forgotten her significance and will be blindsided.
>>290622390I only remembered her because I re-read AriSaku from the start a few weeks ago and had completely forgotten about her when I saw her mentioned again.
It stands out that Karin's the first one to show curiosity about backup schools.
>>290622390Seeing things more directly and with more details really colors the early chapters in a different light.
F for Karin
It's been a few morrows. Next chapter raws are out but I haven't typeset them yet.I wanted to touch on the infectious nature of suicide in my usual writeup but that has to wait till next time.https://mega.nz/folder/SqoEGRrY#SDVv5jKw1zKuJpLDAyp0mgNo sign of Aizawa ch35 yet. Dorothy is busy releasing Vamp-sensei's final volume and she injured her hand so it might be taking the month off. And in other bad news I'm dropping Sylph.
>>290622944Why did someone sent a letter to you?
Why don't you pick Manio's new masterpiece? No chance of suicide in that one
>>290622944Rip
thanks for evading Igarashi's hitsquad long enough for the TLit's nice that things that were pretty insane to just mention in passing early on are getting some development. Guess we are getting Kasumi starting to freak out Haruyo stressing over her highschool exams if they're gonna bring up this suicide storybeat.
>>290622944>And in other bad news I'm dropping Sylph. That's not unreasonable considering we have an English translation provided by the author, even if it will be lagging behind probably forever. I always feel like a robot when typing that sort of trite thing but take care of yourself and thanks for what you do.
>>290622818This seems like something insanely tedious and hard to draw
>>290623168Draw it in black and invert the colors wow
>>290623212yea, definitely the hardest part of that full-page
>>290623168
>>290623281
>>290623300>>290623281damn tricky artists
I laughed when I read the earlier chapters again.
>>290622579I like the panels of the glass starting to crack, you can really hear the sounds it would make if it was a movie.
Might be the first arc where we're starting at an uncomfortable place rather than building towards it.
>>290622522>If you fail we can die togetherI understand perfectly, Kasumi's a bad person for living
>>290622944Sumi-chan is the cutest when she is crying.
>>290622944Hey noighd, back from Japan already? How was Madoka?
>>290622360>it's so cold I'm gonna die>if I had nobody to talk to I might dieSubtle.
>>290622203See, the problem here is that even though you changed the subject line, you still put days of yore in the OP.
>>290625150nah it actually took longer for it to start posting this time, i am pretty sure our nig had to add this thread manually
>>290625150To be fair this bot has been spamming the yuri thread sometimes, so it's obviously some trannoid keeping an eye on it at least a few times.
Kasu-chan backstory. It's not going to end soon, is it?
>>290625197I don't think we're gonna get much more of a backstory besides the next chapter. Feels more like a setup for the current Kasumi & Haruyo since she's a 3rd year in middle school about to take exams like Karin and Kasumi did. There's been a lot of previous chapters showing them studying together as well as the Completely Normal Couple having a big impact on them and they also had big worries about school exams.
>>290610778Oh hey my summoning ritual worked.
>>290622579>>290622647>>290622740>>290622802>>290622818Igarashi-san as always doing some next level work here. This is really beautiful and tragic. Can’t wait for the next half. I’ve been purposefully avoiding spoilers
keep reporting anons
Everything these faggots do against yuri could have removed the worst tourists or spammers on this board twice over channeled into dogpiling and reports. Nothing but cancer.
Any idea how this series is doing in Japan?
>>290626216It can't be doing that bad with having over 3 volumes, but it's definitely not popular.
>>290626234This is niche within a niche so I didn't expect it to be popular, but it's great that it apparently found an audience.
>>290622233I kinda thought we'd be returning to the light side after The Invasion of the Yuri Aliens chapters, but I guess not.
>>290626234Within yuri it's probably one of the best works, but for manga as a whole it's too narrow an appeal to big really successful. Far too artistic as well for zoomoids to pickup which is what drives numbers.
I thought they got noighd.
>>290626292>returning to the lightsidethere never was one, Igarashi was just setting the stage. don't you know shadows are so much darker then the light is bright. I do wonder if the Clover couple would hit as hard if it wasn't for the Sunflowers
>>290626326I have confidence that Igarashi will one day escape the curse and figure out how to turn this into a fluffy shoujo manga
>>290622944That's a great face, damn.
>>290622944Noighd, can you provide some commentary on this? The recipient's name is Igarashi, by the way. Is ã‚·ãƒãƒ„メクサ hanakotoba for カッターナイフ?
>>290626458Thanks to Noighd letting evil gaijin read her works in filthy eigo, Igarashi's sanity and sense of human belief in goodness has fully been severed and lost. There is only hate and twisted suffering in her heart now.
>>290626268>>290626293The main issue is that the author isn't on X, so her work isn't as well promoted as other yuri works, pretty sure if she was she would be getting tons of fanart.
>>290626537This is a good thing actually. Instead of being a hackwork shoujoslop mangaka, she will pour her raw emotions and suffering into creating the apex of yurikino.
>>290626579I can understand not liking Musk, but yea not being on the biggest social media platform is a stupid move. This is like saying you'll never ride in any vehicle because Henry Ford was a racist thus all internal combustion technology is problematic.
>>290626616I'm not even sure if this is about Musk and not other bullshit
>>290626650if you're on bluesky, it's Elon-related grievances
>>290626458They never escape the curse, anon...
>>290626650>>290626669It's because of AI.
>>290626458Yuri makes the curse of menhera even worse.
I'm surprised people are saying they forgot about this. This page really sticks out like a sore thumb.
>>290626925That page happened so early on and is never brought up again. It's easy to forget if you haven't read it recently. Especially when it's followed by like 11 chapters of cute and fluffy girls before you get the boxcutter wildride that just kinda mindwipes you from all the cute moments beforehand.
>>290626925>>290626989To be honest, I thought we had been bringing up kasumi's friend who killed herself pretty much every thread.
>>290626537>There is only hate and twisted suffering in her heart now.And Mandalorian and Grogu.
>>290627047It's a pretty forgettable detail that kept being brought back up as one of those obnoxious "hehh, bet yu forgot about dis" things. Until this chapter it was never talked about again until this chapter. Even her nervous behaviour never really connected with that suicide.
>>290627047God, she's fucking adorable. Too good for the love interest.
>>290622203>.1Many tomorrows have passed
>>290626579Kys twittertranny.
>>290627241There will be no Haruyo disrespect tolerated in this thread.
>>290622674Even though she took the prep course since 6th grade and everything?!
>>290627325Anon will be ashamed of his words and deeds soon.
>>290627407It's a doggy dog world out there.
This is a hopeful arc actually
>>290627407That just means they tell her to aim even higher. Life is struggle.
>>290627495Hope exists to make the suffering all the more delicious when its extinguished.
>>290627325>>290627416Her hair sucks.
>>290627206Not true, it was very clear that her insecurities, particularly her lack of self worth, had a strong correlation with the suicide.
>>290622802This has to be in the top 10 for dumbest reasons to kill yourself
>>290628237yet it's super common in japan, china and korea among young suicides
>>290626458Just writing Mia and Kayoko caused Igarashi physical pain and mental anguish. YWNBASM
>>290626292If we were following the pattern where HaruKasu talk to Yuppi, there's no chance her own oneesama was on the light side.
onee-sama?onee-chan?
>>290624976the disrespect is real
>>290630427That's foreplay for them
gonna reread the manga
>>290622944I need Baruyo cuddling the trauma out of Kasumi so badly.
>>290623080>>290625276arisaku academy is an escalator school, isn't it? . that's why yamabe asks kasumi if she got in via the middle school exam -- you only have to get in once and you're set.
>>290630456I'd kill for a spinoff on their marriage life.
>>290632321>lesbian marriage>japan
>>290626292I don't know if we'll ever return to the light for a full arc after MiaBeh drove Igarashi crazy. She even said the stale backgrounds this chapter, while necessary to make the cram school seem as ordinary as possible, made drawing it feel like a chore. She's too addicted to dark yuri and its twisted visuals.>>290632027It sounds like a good source of drama but I don't know how exam angst would fit in before Kasumi + Haruyo's graduation and that's years away. Kasumi does need to keep her grades up to keep her scholarship but there's no reason to think she can't manage it right now.>>290627988I think it will become clearer when next chapter shows Karin's death isn't all there is to Kasumi's trauma.>>290626513It's not impossible it's more than coincidence. While AriSaku isn't mainstream yuri I've seen it referenced in surprising places.>>290624682Not enough cake musicals.
