>>290636346They're overall very faithful. Movie 2 gave us the most shakeup and I personally think it was for the better. The entire PTSD sequence at the end of it is incredible and fits into the narrative of the novel perfectly (at just about the perfect time, too). Some details are astoundingly closet to the novel. Certain depictions of even combat scenes are really taking every line from the description and showing them. There's a bit about stray mega particles bouncing around from a grazed hit when Penelope is firing on the container holding the Xi in the first novel/movie and they animated it perfectly, if you watch the scene beam particles bounce around the interior with sound effects. This level of detail matches a lot of other areas too; I don't think anyone could reasonably argue the director doesn't have real love for the source material.>>290636325I liked them both a lot. When I first saw it I had no idea it was the animation director for F91's sequence but it makes perfect sense, both of these sequences capture the scale of MS versus humans and the environment better than anything else put to screen.
