Why didn’t Jujutsu technical school teach their students ANY anti domain techniques?

Actually in JJK, they pulled people from across 1,000s of years in the past and only two of them had it. Yuji is the only one that learned it and he had literal 1st person experience with it.

Anti-domain techniques are usually just a delaying mechanism at best.
Even GOATjo and Sukuna could only delay a domain breaking through for a few seconds.
For the average guy its not worth even bothering to learn.

Sukuna died to Yuji's domain. That's why Yuji is the strongest.
>>
>>290752656
They are. A simple domain is a domain without a cursed technique imbued into it. Yuji's the only one smart enough to realize it, slapped Shrine on to it and unlocked his domain in that manner. Even if Simple Domains can only defend against DE's for seconds, it's still a pathway to learning Domain Expansions. Students who already have a CT should be taughy Simple Domains in their first year.

Doesn't make much sense for DE to be considered top tier techniques unless we assume that it's creating the barrier at all that is the wall that stops most. Would make sense why not everyone can can make simple domain.

>>
>>290754006
The other guys is right. It actually isn't as simple as 'simple domain + a technique'. The barrier's domains use are sub spaces that exist outside of real space. That's why they're larger on the inside.
Yuji's situation is that he knows from 1st hand experience how to create a domain expansion and so once he was also able to create barriers on his own, he could then bridge the gap to a full domain expansion.

Gege probably did take inspiration from Fate when developing the idea of a domain expansion. The imagery alone between Unlimited Blade Works and Authentic Mutual Love seems pretty on the nose.

I'm not super deep in the Fate/Stay series or lore but I think that domains are more focused on offense while reality marbles have a greater degree of utility. Case in point UBW not only can create a realm to drag people into, but it allows whichever version of Shirou to manifest weapons in the real world. The closest to this idea would be Higuruma and Hakari as they don't really have proper cursed techniques so much as they have props from their domains they can summon to reality. And even then Higuruma's best thing is changing the shape/size of his gavel. Hakari might as well not even bother wish his pachinko balls or subway doors outside his domain. Kiritsugu also manifests his reality marble effect without needing to extend his bounded field beyond his body. A lot more useful imo. JJK just has domain amplification as a comparable skillset and it's not nearly as useful.

I know fate can be bonkers though so I'd assume the upper bounds of Reality marbles dwarfs the average domain. However I think domains like Infinite void, malevolent shrine, Time Cell Moon Palace, and Self Embodiment of Perfection would fuck up a lot of Fate characters that don't have bullshit defensive abilities.
>>
>>290763614
>And even then Higuruma's best thing is changing the shape/size of his gavel.
correction: executioner's blade is also tied to his domain and that's a OHKO
>>
>>290763643
Really though. That is his "Lawyer" technique. The domain is the default state of his ability and the sword has to first be earned and then actually used successfully to land a hit.
That and Hakari's technique are nothing like a true Domain Expansion which are inherently unfair to the victim. There's a sharp distinction between the two things.
>>
>>290763614
I think the main inspiration was territories in Yu Yu Hakusho, since domain and territory both use the exact same kanji and Gege is open about being a Togashi glazer.
But yeah, I do think that at least by the time he designed Yuta's domain, he was taking inspiration from Fate.

The idea of taking control of a certain area exists in other Asian cultures. Here's an example from a Chinese manga called Feng Shen Ji. "Boundless World"

I think if you digged hard enough, you could probably find Merlin doing something like that too.
The idea of magically dominating a set area makes some base level logic for magic abilities. Like, you're exerting your will but they aren't a capital G God and so this power is naturally limited in scope.
>>
>>290763614
>I know fate can be bonkers though so I'd assume the upper bounds of Reality marbles dwarfs the average domain.

One of the more head-fucky bits of Fate lore when you get down deep enough is the realization that all of human civilization, indeed the entire evolutionary history of life on Earth as a whole, takes place within a reality marble being projected onto the surface of the Earth by the will of the planet for... reasons. There is not, and never has been, a living being on Earth that wasn't a projection of this original reality distortion.
Which is how reality marbles as we understand them function at all: its a person temporarily hijacking the area around them and rewriting it to be an extension of themselves... which is only possible because the world around them and their reality marble are both *equally fake*.
Every rule of reality, law of physics, and historical event has no impact on the universe or evidence if its existence beyond a certain range of Earth. It only looks consistent from the inside, like characters in a movie not knowing the 4th wall is there.
>>
>>290764062
It's depicted in manga such as Versus as demons subtly representing each separate territory that takes from mythology such as Rig Veda and mandala of Mt Meru in the center and the Four Heavenly Kings as the guardian deities representing each direction.

>Yuji
Sukuna did it several times in his body, also body-swapped with people who can do it
>Hakari and Higuruma
Extremely rare cases where domains are built into their cursed techniques, and said domains work differently than the ones other sorcerers have
>Kenjaku
Literally has thousands of years of experience under his belt, it would be pretty sad if he didn't
>Ryu, Uro, Gojo, Yuta, Sukuna and Yorozu
They were all the top dogs of their eras; it makes perfect sense for them all be able to use it
>Disaster curses
The disaster curses are strong because they're quite literally natural disasters, so it also makes perfect sense as to why they would be able to use them
>>
>>290746136
It's a pretty classic problem with these kind of stories where we start from the bottom in order to familiarize the audience with the setting and system, but the protagonists are actually blazing through the natural progression because the actual story completely revolves around the top 0.01% of the power scale and they need to scale up fast. By the end of the story, basically every relevant character is or has become a turbo-genius demigod relative to the norm of the setting or else they get left behind. And the audience naturally loses perspective because the story doesn't really care about the 99.99% of scrubs.
>>
>>290764875
>>290754762
Adding to this, excluding the souped-up cursed spirits, the only characters pre-CG who were able to use domain expansions were the 3 undisputed strongest guys: Yuta, Yuki and Gojo. The several Grade 1s Jujutsu Tech had on their payroll, like Nanami, Yaga, Gakuganji, Naoya, and the rest of the hei, Todo, and Kusakabe? No domain to be seen, except Hakari, who once again has a fucked up cursed technique that comes with one. They only started popping up like crazy when Kenjaku started his wacky tournament to have all the strongest guys in jujutsu history fight each other, so obviously once you get a bunch of crazy strong guys together, they're bound to have the crazy strong technique that all of the crazy strong guys have.

One of JJK's biggest issues is that the world feels like it's populated by like less than 50 people
>>
>>290755842
Kinda, but it's less autistic than JJK. A big problem with JJK is that Gege was acting like he was Togashi or something when describing the power system, even though it was basically all a larp because Gege was too dumb to actually pull it off. Centuria doesn't even pretend it has a system really.
>>
>>290765493
It's the opposite. One of JJK's biggest strengths is it's focused story and that all the characters introduced are done so with purpose. It's only a lack of imagination that limits the world to what we are literally shown.

That's sort of unrelated to the point I was making, but yes, but also he hamstrung himself with it. Domain Expansion is basically designed as an "I win" button and it's a cancer on the entire system, because it means any top-end fight revolves around it. RCT is kinda similar in terms of being essentially mandatory for the top-end but it's ultra rare. I think it's incredibly telling that Gege had to explicitly write-in a cheat so that the good guys could conveniently all learn RCT and Simple Domain super fast off-screen right before the final fight.

Doesn't matter, what you need to be a special grade is overwhelming hax or truly overwhelming raw power.
Yuta is SG due to hax, so Ryu doesn't qualify just for having a bit more raw power.
>>
>>290766563
The problem here is that the rank system sucks because power difference between Grade 1 and Special Grade is so fucking huge and also just possessing a Domain or RCT puts you a league above normal Grade 1 guys like Nanami.
>>
>>290766495
It is directly responding to you aimlessly venting your rage at Gege. Its totally related but if you want to just hide behind the comparison to Centuria you tacked on at the end, well, that's your choice.
But since we are talking about the manga, then just look at it in its actual context and your complaint falls away. There is nothing wrong at all with Domain Expansion being so powerful because they are ultimate abilities and their use was always significant. Gege did well here too and gave us virtually every iteration of Domain clashes possible, allowing the fans to extrapolate on their own.
The rarity was handled well yet again. We see that even with this cheat method, only Yuji and Choso were able to learn RCT and it was itself aided by their special physiology and even then still not perfect or near the level of the ones who had time to master it naturally, like Sukuna.
>>
>>290766645
The rank system doesn't suck, people just don't understand its intended purpose.
Most people think Special Grade is some super duper high praise.
It's actually a certificate that you, individually, pose a threat to the rulers of Jujutsu society.
That's what is meant by Kenjaku saying "taking over a country", the country is Japan.
>>
>>290766665
That doesn't really address the huge amount of disparity within what would nominally be Grade 1. If we assume the reincarnated sorcerers aren't Special Grade material, then they either would fall into Grade 1, which doesn't accurately describe how strong they are, or you need to fanon another grade between 1 and Special.
>>
>>290752395
The new generation is actually retarded. The funny thing is everyone can learn domain expansion, the actual difficult part is making it lethal. Sumo dude has an old school domain and he's just an autist about sumo with no curse technique to speak of.
>>
>>290766720
Grade 1 describes all sorcerers stronger than grade 2 and weaker than special grade.
There is no issue with some being weaker or stronger. It's a question of being strong enough to deal with all known (normal) threats of the era.
>>
>>290766665
Well explained. 1st Grade is what fits within the establishment system and Special Grade is what is beyond it's classification and control.
I like to classify Special Grades as abilities that are at the level of cheat-like and unfair. My previous classification is probably better. It was people with infinite potential, like Yaga's technical specification as Special Grade because he can have an infinite army of cursed corpses.

You're right that everyone can learn domain expansion, insomuch as everyone can become a grand champion chess player.
Learning domain expansions like the Sumo retard's is pointless.
To make an actually useful domain requires skill, potential, capability, and instinct.
>>
>>290766831
You're right that it's mostly cheat-like abilities around infinite growth (Yaga, Yuta, Geto), but you can also just have overwhelming strength, strong enough to be Sukuna and Gojo who can genocide the entire country on their own, or Yuki who can blow up the whole planet.
>>
>>290766850
On this topic. This is not the Domain Expansion being referred to as a rare and ultimate skill.
Like Hakari and Higuruma's DE, it is fair to the opponent and this one even requires the target's consent. They're a totally different thing.
>>
>>290766660
The only meaningful domain clashes are Sukuna vs Gojo, which was essentially just blowing their loads until their brains conveniently fried at the same time and the real fight could start. And we got cucked out of the 3-way clash with Yuta and the reincarnated sorcerers. We objectively did not see "virtually every iteration of Domain clashes possible". Shit, we didn't even see someone try to counter Hakari's bullshit with their own domain.
>It is directly responding to you aimlessly venting your rage at Gege
No, the problems with domains and such wasn't the thrust of my original point. My point was that Gege's presentation of powers and fights is a poor man's Hunter x Hunter. He wants to impress greater complexity than he's actually capable of. In practice, JJK is like if you had Bleach's stupidity with HxH's autistic narration.

>>
>>290766964
>powers
To me HxH's magic system was always more about different ways of channeling Nen, in a martial-art meditation sort of way, than the actual abilities (Hatsus) themselves (well, the current arc is an exception). JJK throws out all the complex techniques like Shu and Gyo and (optionally turns those into a character's cursed technique).
I won't deny that Gege tried to ape HxH's power system, which is fine because it's a very meticulous power system.

>fights
Most fights in Hunter are one-sided shit stomps though. JJK needed more of those to communicate how much stronger certain characters are. This (>>290767134) feels like something Togashi would write, ironically.

That's right, but it was established early on that the New Shadow School requires binding vows forbidding the teaching of the technique to people outside the school, etc.
So obviously there is some authority controlling who can join and thus who can learn Simple Domain.
It's only freaks like Gojo that can figure it out and replicate it from just seeing it in use, and he's bad at teaching since he's a natural at everything.
>>
>>290767717
The Bankais in Bleach are mostly just powerups or form changes, it's only a fairly few that function like domain expansions. The ones that count that I can remember are Tousen, Byakuya, Rukia (kinda), maybe Shunsui, maybe Unohana, maybe Urahara.
And most of those are from the final arc, for most of the story and for most character, a bankai is, like, a bigger sword.

They are both introduced early in the story, and are a goal characters can grow towards as the ultimate attack and are treated as big tide turning reveals.
Events like Mahito, Dagon and Yuji's first domains are exactly like the bankai reveals. Just the fact they both require the user to say the "POWER: NAME" to activate is enough for me to claim inspiration.

>My point was that Gege's presentation of powers and fights is a poor man's Hunter x Hunter. He wants to impress greater complexity than he's actually capable of. In practice, JJK is like if you had Bleach's stupidity with HxH's autistic narration.
Fights in JJK are generally very good anon. The power system is well realized at the end of the day and we get lots of interestint matchups and use cases along with cool powers and characters. There are a few times where Gege trips over himself trying to make powers seem more complex or makes them needlessly complex, like Kirara's star relay power. Fights don't really shit the bed until well into the Culling game, especially with how the cast don't properly use their assembled people to take out Sukuna when there were vastly better configurations of characters to accomplish it.

Don't these concept originate from ancient Japanese mysticism...? None of them are probably specifically inspired from another series

Nobody is really discounting this, but we already know that Gege was specifically inspired by writers like Togashi Yes, HxH's nen system and YYH's territories also another flavor of mysticism regarding chi manipulation and psychic phenomenon. But they are such specific one's that contemporary writers can pull from without having to reference the origins and it shows in stories like JJK.

Gege in an interview also stated that he tried to emulate Araki's stand ability complexity with characters like Kirara (he admits he failed with this one) so I think it's worth considering what other modern sources may have influence his work just as much as the possible older influence that also served as the bedrock for those works.

>Even a shitty domain its better than nothing because its also a defense mechanism
This is the purpose of things like Hollow Wicker Basket, simple domain, and other anti-barrier techniques. In fact these are more practical because they do not get subjected to a domain clash.

So gege did cover his ass with good workarounds. And also explained why not everyone deploys these techniques; the new shadow style gatekeeps and stuff like falling blossom is a clan secret. Hollow Wicker Basket was actually a common technique because domains were more common as well. So as usual the biggest problem within the jujutsu world is all the big heads hoarding knowledge and resources for fear of losing their place in the world.

It also saves Gege from having to write a domain for every notable grade 1 sorcerer. I think it's efficient writing.
>>
>>290779886
Explaining your technique makes perfect sense. You take a risk by revealing your secrets and so get a boost in return.

It's cool from a magic perspective too. By explaining the magic and sharing that concept with someone else, it becomes more 'real'. Now this idea exists in more than one mind and the trick is easier to pull off.

>You take a risk by revealing your secrets and so get a boost in return.
In practice this doesn't make sense because we never see a measurable increase in power from anyone explaining their technique. And it doesn't work for powers like Boogie Woogie because what gets stronger about a swapping ability? What got stronger about Uro's sky manipulation when she told Yuta about it?

This worked in a series like HxH because you had one guy who conjures 60+ bombs on a bunch of people but he has to take considerable risk to boost his power. So not only does he have to explain it but he also has to leave a disarming option within it. From what we can assume, if he didn't included those steps he wouldn't be able to manifest as many bombs, or their blast would be reduced, or the time he allows his victims might have to increase/decrease. There are stats to abilities like that but not to the two examples from JJK and others as well.

In JJK the reason you explain your ability to someone is to lie to them about it's full utilization. Something also done in HxH but just as mind games. This is how Todo fucks over Hanami and Mahito.
>>
>>290746136
I haven't gotten very far in jjk but from what I remember jujutsu school is less of a formal training an research facility and more of a basic tutorship bolted upon independent apprenticeship shops. Each family is constantly bickering with one another and hides their best skills from each other.
They only considered collaborating with any seriousness when they had an existential threat that came from outside the system.
>>
>>290779804
This never happened.
It's funny you say that too because in the chapter drop threads we knew, as it happened, that reversing the barrier entry conditions would make it stronger on the outside.
>>
>>290781036
I could make assumptions on how boogie woogie and sky manip get boosted by revealing but you are correct they don't say or show it in the text.
>>
>>290781036
No, your only problem is that you want to see a massive boost but it is just a small one. It makes it more energy efficient for the user by a little, which is a reward that is proportionate to the cost.

What you're describing with Todo is him not using the boost and instead just lying outright. Which, yes, is a tactical mind game and smart to do.

>your only problem is that you want to see a massive boost but it is just a small one.
Nice strawman.
>It makes it more energy efficient for the user by a little, which is a reward that is proportionate to the cost.
Do you have a source for that anon? Because

We just don't see any real change at all between a disclosed target or an undisclosed target. Todo's ability works exactly the same when he uses it to save Yuji from the Kyoto students, when he discloses it and fights Hanami, when he fights Mahito (he didn't personally disclose it to him), and when he's using it on inanimate objects.

The same is true for Uro, she uses her power with the exact same precision and potency as she does when blocking Ryu's shots and fighting the others in Sendai. What got stronger when she used it against Yuta? The only difference is she uses it on his limbs but Yuta is a melee fighter compared to the cannon that is Ryu for her interactions with him.

And why does disclosure have to be total reveal? Uro didn't tell Yuta she can punch the air in addition to warping space like a cloth? Higuruma doesn't have to tell anyone that he automatically knows the evidence judgeman provides. The only character that 100% discloses their power is Hakari while using his domain and then the question still remains. How does that make his ability stronger? He doesn't even need to worry about energy cost because once he gets jackpot he gets a free refill so he can spam domain again and again.

The only time disclosing an ability seems to actually matter outside of tricking opponents is the two cases of characters that don't know their abilities and telling them about it might cause it to stop working entirely.

Because it is an extremely simple concept. I haven't strawmanned you at all. You're claim it "doesn't make sense" but what you meant is "I need to see a significant change". Now why would you conflate these two totally different concepts? I think its because you're desperate to hate on JJK.

Here, pretend we're talking about HxH instead. Ok? So, in HxH, nen users get a boost by explaining their technique. You see, the risk they take on is a type of nen restriction that grants a boost in exchange for that risk. Is that palatable enough for you to accept?
They get a boost and we know that because of the explanation and we know it is small because of the subsequent usage.

>Because it is an extremely simple concept.
Then provide a source that this improves energy efficiency because otherwise my point about the abilities not changing at all is not contested. And therefore my complaint about Gege introducing this rule but not showing it actually work as advertised.
>I think its because you're desperate to hate on JJK.
I've actually been praising Gege this whole thread and defending his writing from claims that don't have good evidence. But that doesn't mean his work is flawless and this is an example of a problem in writing and/or presentation.

>Ok? So, in HxH
I already covered this and explained that the sole ability where someone had to explain it had numerical variables that can be influenced by taking on this limitation. There's no numbers to spatial manipulation or swapping across any examples in the story. In fact the only change to Todo's ability across the whole series is when he acquires the vibroslap and just increases the number of warps he makes.

But once again, you haven't actually proven a change occurs nor that your claim about energy efficiency came from anywhere than your ass. Gege saying a boost happens is pure "tell, don't demonstrate".

The idea of making it easier to use was formed from the effects we see in the manga. It isn't some crazy large boost, clearly. Both translations I have access to use the term "More effective". If it is easier to use then it can also be made more powerful with the same amount of energy. It neatly resolves your problem with it too as well as aligning with the translation we have here. Well, it doesn't resolve the initial claim of "it doesn't make sense" but I guess that was never the real claim anyway.
I'm not saying Gege is perfect either, I'm just defending his writing against attacks I don't agree with.

No, it's told to us but not actually depicted. Unlike HxH.
> Both translations I have access to use the term "More effective". If it is easier to use then it can also be made more powerful with the same amount of energy.
"more effective" is both overly vague and undermined by the example in your own page. Gojo's ability is already operating at maximum efficiency due to the six eyes. And nothing he does against Jogo is different from anyone else. So what changes when he disclosed his power? As with Todo and Uro, his ability doesn't have any stats to change or make more effective. It's infinity.
>It neatly resolves your problem with it too as well as aligning with the translation we have here
It does not because there's literally no room for change in the example on that page. The only thing that is true is what I've already stated which Nanami reinforces. You mislead your opponent about your ablility. That is practically demonstrated in the story numerous times.
>it doesn't make sense" but I guess that was never the real claim anyway.
It does but you seem keen on just assuming a vague phrase was proven without any evidence. Literally just taking the story at it's word but not by any real example.
>I'm just defending his writing against attacks I don't agree with.
It's not an attack, it's an observation that I have been backing with examples and basic logic. You don't have to like it but you cannot deny that Gege did not properly implement or demonstrate this rule. If you can't do that I don't really have anything else to say about it. I would just conclude you are acting contrary to your admission that Gege isn't perfect.

Nen in HxH really isn’t that complex or insanely well written.

Basically: everyone can generate aura and move it through their body, hide it, or make it visible. There are different personality types that affect how people manipulate this energy. In itself, it’s pretty similar to DQ magic systems.

The problem is the series never truly explores it deeply. Kurapika is a specialist, meaning he can basically do whatever Togashi wants. Losing lifespan is presented as a huge cost but barely matters narratively. Killua just gets electricity powers. Gon mostly punches hard, and when he needs more power he can just sacrifice everything. The sacrifice mechanic is the most interesting part, but it’s still pretty basic.

The abilities are sometimes creative, but they’re rarely tightly connected to the actual Nen system. With the Chimera ants especially, they can basically do whatever they want with nen. Then we meet more hunters with “creative” powers, but the system itself never gains much value despite all the exposition dumps.

Togashi also constantly adds new rules or exceptions. Nanika is literally just whatever the plot wants. So in the end Nen feels like a pretty standard power system with a background that sounds hyper-organized, but doesn’t actually matter that much in practice

Nobody but you stated that there was a massive boost in this process. That's your delusion. The original argument was that there's no measurable increase in power at all. And that there's no change in the function or utility of any of the example abilities. You didn't argue against any of these points successfully

Because the text is vague about what it means and it uses Gojo as an example which is the worst case for efficiency == cursed energy usage since he already has perfect efficiency. He literally wouldn't benefit from explaining his power so he obviously did it for style points above all else.
>How does this make the concept not make sense?

The Fate VN came out in Jan 2004. Bleach started in 2001, and bankai was first described in chapter 120 (vol 14) when Yoruichi said she'd teach it to Ichigo. Chapter 127 (vol 15) showed the field-of-swords training process with him fighting Zangetsu. Vols 12-15 were released in 2004, so UBW should predate the introduction of bankai.

>>
>>290786753
I think that's a misconception. Binding vows are a catch all term for any and every kind of trade off in Jujutsu. Revealing your technique, changing the size of your barrier, adjusting who can enter a barrier, changing what a technique targets. Binding vows aren't necessarily a major change.
Sukuna didn't achieve an open domain through a binding vow. It's that achieving an open domain creates a binding vow that expands the range since it doesn't trap people inside with a barrier.

Your literal only problem with the concept is that the change isn't significant enough. You can't accept the simple concept that the boost is small because then you'd lose the argument.
>the text is vague
So, it doesn't contradict what I said. In fact it works with what I said.
>how does the concept not make sense?
Now you talk about it not being a massive boost again, but that is unrelated to the concept making sense.
>I didn't say it didn't make sense. I just defended the guy who said it didn't make sense, and then defended that idea again just one bullet point prior to this.
It's a direct line of post replies. It is a very weak point though so I understand trying to bullshit your way out of it. Too bad about that previous bullet point.

It is just a small boost, which is relative to the small price they paid.

>Your literal only problem with the concept is that the change isn't significant enough.
There's no change evident at all. I've proven this beyond a reasonable doubt. You gave no evidence to the contrary nor did you address the fact that Gojo, Todo, And Uro's abilities work exactly the same with the exact frequency against opponents they disclosed their power to, and those they didn't.
>So, it doesn't contradict what I said.
Except it directly contradicts your hypothesis because Gojo doesn't need better cursed energy efficiency for his techniques. So it doesn't work the way you said you retard.
>Now you talk about it not being a massive boost again
Never said massive, only said "any measurable change". You are trying to create another scarecrow so I won't bother with this
>being mad multiple people see through your stupidity and bad arguments
Anon, you literally treated unrelated posters as if they were me because you have already made me and the facts I present your boogieman. There is no bullshit but your own posts. Because you have not refuted a single one of my points with anything substantial. You have literally made up words for my arguments that exceed the scope of my points. You have cited the manga in ways that don't back you up. And now you are trying so hard to pretend that everyone that disagrees with you needed to be treated as the same person. This isn't healthy.

>It is just a small boost
Specify what the boost is and support it with the text. Energy efficiency is now out the window. If you can't do that you should (but you won't) concede the point. I can continue to post examples of disclosing techniques not having any effect. You can't even give a single page that helps you out OTOH. Very telling and very sad. Your next post better not be utter trash and have better evidence on your side. we both know it won't

Not even close. He does it once more to fight Yujo. Then attempts to do it once more against Yuji, acknowledging the risk before trying and bleeding from his nose exactly like how he and Gojo failed earlier.
If you look at it from the context of what actually happened it might seem a lot more reasonable to you.

Assuming it plays out like the original, then Gojo never wins the crucial domain clash and dies there.

They never did explain what Yujis domain did - which looked like nothing at all.

What a fag. In the end he ended up using a copy of Sekunas domain.

A domain expansion is something in JJK that applies the user's technique as a sure-hit.
Yuji's domain expansion applies the technique he got from Sukuna.
Here we see it hitting Sukuna.

Extension is what it says on the tin, you take the function and concept of your CT and push it beyond its basic definition, extending the concept, creating new uses of it.

I thought it was that his DE is a replica of his home town, and everyone caught inside of it becomes less aggressive/lets their guard down.
It's a huge leap of logic but it would make sense, given how he's supposed to be the new strongest sorcerer ever now that Sukuna and Gojo are gone, and therefore his DE not only has guaranteed hits (high offense) but also implicitly protects him from getting attacked (high defense).
>>
>>290790903
Is Yuji realyl that strong?
Sure, he has a copy of Sekunas technique and piercing blood, but his CE output is still below average and he isn't bearly as creative or smart as either Gojo or Sekuna.
>>
>>290790903
The heart to heart with Sukuna is the soul connection thing that happens in JJK, usually (or always) happening when one of them is near death. Sukuna did it with Jogo and Kashimo.
You could say a similar thing happened to Nanami and Gojo as they died and saw people. And Yuji did the same or similar concept when he talks to Megumi's soul.

This definitely was not Yuji's domain expansion. We see Sukuna in a different form and we see afterwards Yuji and Sukuna fighting in a Yuji's domain which is a conventional domain with a sure-hit applied to it.

and also in a 5v1 against the Disaster Curse
>>
>>290781036
>doesn't make sense
It's a self impose vow. Just like how Nanami lowers his CE output during work hours in exchange for increased CE output in overtime, people choose to give up the information advantage on how their CT works in exchange for raw power/efficiency/etc.
Naobito and Naoya are good examples of how this is up to the person, they both judged in all their fights that the confusing nature of Projection sorcery (the speed, the freezing, the rules) is better kept secret than revealed in exchange for increased potency.
>we never see
We see a measurable increase in power with Nanami vs Mahito.
>what gets stronger
Lower CE cost, larger range, quicker activation?
>Uro
Lower CE cost, she can manipulate larger parts of the sky, can stretch it further, something like that?
Most people who like to reveal their hand in exchange for power do this at the start of the fight, hence we obviously have no way of comparing the output of their techniques.

We can only speculate based on his few feats in Modulo. Those were all cool, but yeah they're not Gojo/Sukuna levels of power. I wonder how he would fare against Jogo.
This is why we need a sequel but Gege fucking hates Yuji and probably JJK overall.

If in-character, Heian Sukuna dicks around hard enough that he's thinking
>lolwtf is this guy
and doesn't take Gojo seriously before it's too late because he doesn't know anything he learned during JJK. If Gojo remembers how to teleport or the others tell him about Sukuna's open domain, then maybe he wouldn't make plays like try to clash domains. But it's Gege writing so Sukuna will find a way to win regardless if Gojo can fart Hollow Purples. Especially if the two decide to start having sex randomly during the fight. Gege must've had a hard time not writing Gojo trying to assfuck Megumi until Sukuna's out.
