The fact that the author left out everything about one of his important villain's backstory and treated it as an extra info at the end of the tankoubon is hack writing. This series is carried entirely by the visual spectacle and production value of Ufotable. If I were to make a comparison, this series is like the Super Mario movies. Jingling keys to stimulate the attention deficit audience.Jujutsu Kaisen similarly is like the Bleach of the 2020s. It's a series that prioritizes style over substance above all else with a paper-thin plot that falls apart under the slightest scrutiny. It never took the time to breathe and let the characters just hang out and get to know each other beyond the very first arc. It is a non-stop plot that just keeps rolling where characters get shuffled in and out without ever really getting time to do more than their one designated fight in whatever arc they're in based on the whims of the author.Having said that, I'll recommend Jujutsu Kaisen because Jujutsu Kaisen actually succeeds where Demon Slayer completely fails: the fights are actually fun to watch. And despite the characters lacking depth, they actually carry themselves with a sense of coolness to them. Gojo and Todo are two of the most entertaining/charismatic characters. So much so that the author had to write them out of the story. Demon Slayer fights are a chore and just exposition dumps.
