Sketch for >>290821840>>290822418The original translators used "Kou clan" and I went with that, and I feel like staying consistent even if there are a lot of questionable translation decisions, including many I've made myself. Plus I generally avoid reading the official translations anyway in order to avoid letting them unintentionally affect my translations. It really doesn't make much of a difference anyway since it's only ever been used as a set phrase for the name of the clan, there's no people named Goko running around or anything. And I still think it's a valid enough translation, since 御 is most often used as an honorific prefix and there hasn't really been anything that would rule out it being an honorific in this case. The fantranslation did use "the great Kou clan" occasionally to emphasize the honorific, but that starts becoming clumsy pretty easily.
They revealed the Inuyasha thing that's coming out in a couple of months, by the way: A 400-page book with artworks and interviews.
