to fix naruto you'd have to redo all of shippuden from scratch
the formula of two akatsuki being defeated each arc, naruto constantly getting sidelines, the reveal that orochimaru could possess Sasuke after his death only for that to be immediately resolved by Itachi, the way most of the tail beasts get taken out offscreen without any chance to shine, Sakura, most of Naruto's friends getting left behind rather than contributing to the boss fights of the arcs they were in, the reveal that akatsuki actually meant fuck all other than Tobito and Zetsu, its all just so many anticlimaxes, all building up to captain cocktease Madara whose superpower is always being able to go "nuh uh, didn't count"
Frankly people that say Kishimoto had Kaguya kill Madara because he wrote himself into a corner are giving him too much credit. He genuinely thought Madara emerging victorious after everything everyone threw at him only to be betrayed by BlackZetsu to revive an even stronger final boss was good writing
