The health of the author massively fucked up the manga and it became cathered towards fujos and trannies only. The disaster that was the second season of the anime didn't help either.

Releases are so slow that barely anyone talks about it, let alone remember it.>>290868850The first Anime is loaded down in filler and went into filler within the first 10 episodes, not sure what drugs the other poster is smoking. When the first anime was running it was when the manga kept going in and out of hiatus so they literally had nothing to go on. This was also a time when most shounen were long running so they just did whatever with the plot. Not to say the filler was all bad but its nothing like what the manga is now. Its definitely a peak mid 2000's show. I think it eventually it got another anime/2nd season that skipped to a later arc in the manga. The series is a real mess to keep up with. I'd say you're better off reading the manga then watching the anime. The quality in the first anime wasn't anything ground breaking either but I just have a soft spot for the series due to nostalgia and always seeing it running along with the big 3 along with other big contenders.

It's from the second cour onwards when the series starts having brand-new anime original content unrelated to the manga.

>>290871757The author is such a mega autistic hypocrite she gets mad when people think of her manga as fujobait despite the fact she cathers to fujos 24/7, so when the studio released pic related she chimped out and complained in her instagram about this despite the fact she promised to not say anything bad about the anime, which ended up with her deleting her instagram account shortly after due to breaking her promise. Not so long after the production of the Blu-rays was officially cancelled. To add fuel to the fire, last year some person from the industry disclosed there was a 2016 anime that was a Hell to worth in due to internal problems between the staff there, with many speculating it was D.Gray-man Hallow.
