The shot pushes past the advertised range of the 20x82mm by nearly a kilometer, but that has more to do with the ammunition available than the rifle itself. The 14.5x114mm version should be able to make that shot without much issue with appropriate ammo. It's more on the 20x82mm ammunition than the quality of the rifle itself. However, the short cases with minimal neck-down and the magazine feed here >>290892789 suggests it is in fact the 20x82mm NTW-20, and not the the 14.5x11 or even 20x110HS. The rounds look somewhat atypical though, as most military use 20x82mm tends to have a more rounded or even flat tip compared to the pointed conical in-panel. It's possible it's either a specialty match load made for the NTW at the request of one of the paramilitary organizations that use it, or it's a custom high energy load put together by known explosives expert Giacomo Dante. That would also explain why Beace's torso didn't simply vaporize from getting hit by an HEI round, as the bullet itself would be designed for long-distance accuracy than effect on target. Either case, once you deal with the accuracy over range issues by solving the ammunition problem, a 2.4km shot from San Clemente to the Campanile di San Marco isn't actually that difficult if you have enough time to range and calculate, as they clearly did. Landing the hit on a half-sized silhouette like Beace might have been at least partially luck, but she's also carrying half a metric ton of explosives and shrapnel over her head, so it's not like she's moving very fast. More insane is the absolute herculean effort Beace put in throwing that 500kg cruise missile warhead after getting a 20mm hole punched straight through her abdomen, all to save Triela.
