Anyone here still following this series, more than a year and a half after the anime aired? The manga has been a rather miserable experience this year.
>>290874483I had caught up with it a while back then forgot to keep up. Doesn't it have a goofy release schedule or something?
>>290874483I haven't kept up since Red proposed to Yidhra, but from what I hear things aren't looking too good for my heroes. I'll catch up when I have some free time.
>>290874527It's published in Monthly Shounen Gangan with Manga UP handling the most easily accessible digital release, with the JP side of it always one month behind the most recent issue, and the EN side often at least one month behind that, though they have been more consistent recently and are going to reach parity with the JP side in a couple of days (at least until JP gets August's chapter all at once a couple days after that, then it's back to playing catch up)
There are several points where it almost feels like it should be the time for the finale already and then it just keeps going so i lost interest
>>290874617Things are rather grim at the moment, to put it mildly, yes. Red straight up (and currently still) dead, Yihdra dead in mind, heart, and soul, Azir horribly maimed, world as a whole going to shit due to magic no longer being normally available; a bunch of rather terrible things.
>>290874723While I would say that it doesn't feel like the story as a whole is necessarily getting dragged out, certain aspects do feel like they've been foreshadowed rather vaguely and gone on without even any concrete hints towards what the answer might be, let alone definite answers.
I stopped following it for a bit since Lowji and Teltina are the only ones who still keep fight while Tougo and Yidhra are temporary out of the pictureon a side note, Yidhra's VA needs to voice more shotacon characters, looking forward to her performance as Ultand in the new Fire Emblem game
>>290875209Admittedly, Teltina hasn't even gotten into a fight yet at this point since we've only gotten three so far in the form of Azir/Raniya vs Urut, Lowji vs Olley, and Vidara vs Max, with the first two being of questionable enjoyability due to the Stella Five being what they are, and the last one seeming kind of ridiculous due to some of the things Max does during it. I am excited to see Domad and, to a lesser extent, even Vidara back though.
>>290874483It's the only isekai besides Versus that I like, so of course.>>290874952There's still a few unresolved things after all, like Domad and Vidara, as well as the Kizuna 5 inevitably showing up as well. Probably alongside Shauha who got isekaid just like Red since she was also killed by a Boss entity.
>>290875698>Domad and VidaraAh, yes, they did show up in the most recent chapter which is pretty coolAlso, getting confirmation that Lowji used to know the demon queen is a fun little plot twist.
>>290874483'Miserable' as in 'rough going for the heroes', or as in 'why the fuck am I still reading this'?
>>290876111The former for certain; the latter depends on who you ask/how high a tolerance you have for characters you like suffering and/or being taken out of the picture for the foreseeable future. See >>290874778 for a (very) rough idea of the gist of it
Finished reading the chapterFuck Max, what a little bitch, no respect for his nee-san whatsoever
The isekai just becomes boring after the gimmick novelty wears off
>>290876286While the slow release schedule is painful at times like this, having things go to shit once in a while certainly makes it better than other isekais where everything is patronizingly convenient for the main cast.
>>290876327No respect, can just instantaneously regrow his severed arm (and also turn said severed arm into a mini Mecha Max) and can just casually leap out into space. It really is kind of ridiculous how strong he's being depicted as right now
>>290876458Fair enough, perhaps I'm sensitive to it in this case since I'm the type to only really ever read finished works, so having a story that I'm actually invested in that's still ongoing and that I have no choice but to wait for the next part rather then enjoy it at my leisure makes it feel worse to me.
>>290874778Also, on the subject of catching up, that's one of the reasons I made this thread; to gauge current interest since I'm the guy that did the storytime dumps for the manga last year after the anime aired and sporadically dumped new chapters after that, including earlier this year with a thread that was basically stillborn. Wanted to see if there would be any merit to posting the 4 (soon to be 5) chapters that have gotten translated since then or if the thread(s) would just be DOA.
>>290874483We need more Tokusatsu Translations
>>290874723Yeah I was pretty ready to call it a wrap after the first round with the demon queen.
