What's the go with these guys anyway? How did the commies intern actual super humans in the first place, and why the hell are they not defecting? They can't all have families being held hostage. Or is the idea that they have enough solidarity that they'll fight to the death for their other mage buddies hostage families? Just seems kinda hacky that the commies can just pull entire mage units out of the gulags and that doesn't pose any significant issues.
>>290881026Also, now that I think of it, how the hell did their magi-tech become so good? Seems to be better than the Empire's at least.
>Mages rely on equipment to enhance their power, without it wouldn't be too hard to fight them>The mages they selected have been screened for party loyalty (plus whatever leverage they can pull) and have a political officer babysitting them>The US is lendleasing orbs and other mage gear to them which is way better than the empire's equipment.
>>290881026they're hard as balls from the gulagthey have something to fight forthe anime did some stupid shit; commie orbs are tuned for super shields, which is why tanya and co had a hard time knocking them outbe in the threads next time
>>290881076>>Mages rely on equipment to enhance their power, without it wouldn't be too hard to fight themIsn't the UK like an old magocracy tho? They can't be that helpless without their shit. I mean that dude literally flies without aid. He might not be AS fast, but the tactical advantage of flight alone is huge. There's no way you're gulaging ALL the insurgent mages to the point where your country is famous for having no mages. >CommisarWas that her role? I thought she was a honeypot for the western dudes. >>The US is lendleasing orbs and other mage gear to them which is way better than the empire's equipment.Ah>>290881107>they're hard as balls from the gulagThey should be massively out of practice and incredibly far behind in magic doctrine though.
>>290881138>There's no way you're gulaging ALL the insurgent mages to the point where your country is famous for having no mages. They gulaged ALL mages, they probably executed any insurgent mages and the ones left know it's best to keep their heads down and not try anything. Mages can still be dangerous, but they are not OP like a fully kitted out mage is. Sure he can fly, but he needs to fly low and slow which isn't an advantage if he can't shield himself too.>Was that her role? I thought she was a honeypot for the western dudes. She's keeping an eye on them too, but her main role is making sure the commie mages play nice, follow orders, and not get any funny ideas from the westerners.
>>290881241I dunno, I'm just not happy with how effective the commies are. At least the Empire is demonstrated to have competent commanders even if they're wrestling with High Command. We haven't seen how or why the commies are effective to my awareness. The biggest thing is the threat of the Empire but after the Empire pulled the diplomatic move of ensuring satellite autonomy for border regions, you'd think that'd have taken the wind out of them massively.
