Don’t you hate watching anime that are still ongoing / unfinished / in progress? It really annoys me to start them knowing that I’ll just have to drop/shelf them later… especially since for some of them, further seasons haven’t even been announced.

No.

I don't watch adaptations of manga I haven't already read/am caught up to. With manga you largely have chapters constantly coming out, but I can see why needing to wait years between anime seasons would be annoying, and I don't understand why people do it instead of reading the manga.

Just enjoy what's available, the ending is likely to be shit anyway

I avoided a lot of anime because most of them are just incomplete adaptations. Made worse if they've yet to match the source material after two decades (looking at you, Full Metal Panic).

No. I just read the manga or novel afterwards. Which leads to the pain of reading ongoing manga or novels lol.

i used to feel this way when i was younger but i dont really care now. it's fun to watch a well made adaptation and maybe they make more of it, or maybe you read the source material if you really enjoyed it.

Yeah. That's why I stopped. Last anime I watched week to week was Gundam 00 S2. Gotta say making the switch to Full Series Wait was a good one. I've even expanded to doing the same with comics, live-action TV and video games. There's so much out there that waiting a year or ten for a series to be finished just isn't an issue.

I don't read manga at all. I just watch anime and read novels. I haven't picked up a comic book since I was in my 20s.

this desu. just enjoy the ride

Maybe I would be if any of them were good at all.

I'm not even saying that. Honestly I'm a little sad I can't get into comics anymore.

Sometimes seeing an updoot can be enjoyable

This but in reverse. I have mostly lost interest in watching anime adaptations if I have already read the source material, even if the show looks like it's being done well. Meanwhile I have no problem watching an adaptation if I haven't read the story already. Also I rarely bother with follow-up seasons that come later, even if I liked the first one. So I can't say I'm bothered by shows being unfinished either.

Do you guys who read manga also read books, or do you just read manga?
>>
>>290892471
Yeah. Haven't read much fiction in a while (outside of manga and LNs) but I do read non-fiction.

See, I don't read manga at all but I read fiction. Huh.
