Kind of hoped I’d feel something after reading the final chapter of what’s been one of my favorite manga. I don’t need them fucking on screen or anything silly like that. But I would have liked to see them openly acting like a couple in front of others. Hell, it would have been cool if the other kids weren’t distracted by onee and co. while Kyo reassured Anna. It's been an honor Bokuyabros, the last third of the series didn't hit the same highs but I'm glad it ended with its dignity relatively intact for a romcom. The early chapters were some of the most fun I've had reading a manga with /a/. Back when it just started and we had no idea where it was going, the material was edgier, much more crass and it was clearly from the creator of Mitsudomoe. Norio still having her energy leading to constant side chapters every other day with the ambiguous timeline that let us actually maintain an active general without falling into the usual pitfalls that brings. I hope whatever she does next is as good, but in the meantime I'll read Ura Report. See you in the next thread.

Honestly, this ending had all the things it needed to be kino (Call backs to Ch. 2 and 84, Kyo being public with Anna, giving her his button, ect), but the "no one saw it" cop out and so many pages spent on an industry standard graduation song montage make it feel flat. The sequel hook being a character we barely know is a very strange choice, it might as well be a completely new manga at that point. It seems weird to leave so many plot line hanging, namely the Kimi No Octave Season 2 plot that Anna never actually told Kyo about, so it feels more like the manga stopped being made instead of properly ending. Hopefully Norio expands heavily in bonus material and wherever the spin-off and sequel end up.
