I was smiling when Yuri stood up for herself when her sister was acting out. Then the ending arc came, and fuck. By the time I finished the epilogue, I was bawling.I knew it was going to be a bittersweet ending, but it still hit me like a Mack truck. Yuri learning to be alone without Aono and learning how to grieve his passing hits hard. She has a long way to go, and like anyone who has lost someone, you learn to live with and come to terms with the hole they leave in you.The good thing is, she has friends and family there to support her and help her through it.I'm a grown-ass married man who got into this thinking it'd be some quirky, throwaway ghost romcom that I could come in and out of whenever I felt like it, just to see what's up. I did not expect to become so enraptured by it.Having experienced both sides of being in a toxic, abusive relationship; having experienced and witnessed a troubled family home; having had to be the mediator between an angry father (who has gotten way better and learned to better himself) and a mother who has dealt with depression and anxiety, and having helped her calm down; been the outside and isolated; reading this manga brought back a lot of memories.\\I am happy that I'm in a mental and emotion place now in life where I can regulate, internalize, and deal with such emotions. This manga made me feel a goddamn lot.
