You can talk about it being the le death of art, but that couldn't be further from the truth. This is peak artistry in the circus sphere. It would be the death if they were bad and they phoned it in and the set was bad and the script was bad. It doesn't matter if somebody after them makes a circus with the same idea and executes it terribly. That shit is already happening with other ten cent circuses that put on terrible performances on a technical level and don't give a shit anyways. It would be hard for them to suddenly be put under the leadership of a stranger, even if it was someone maria knows and trusts>now that mizuka is there, she can be their ringleader when sumeragi company takes them over, so it will feel more natural for the girls>the conditions of the buyout are>1)Maria is forbidden from any hard work. I don't think all of it is bad. Things like being able to retroactivly see maria's condition in her actions in early episodes are good foreshadowing. The whole idea of them putting on a wizard of oz adaption as their performance is super inspired and brilliant. That's probably the best piece of writing in the show because it's a coming together of the two parts of Mizuka's past. The circus representing her father, which she will eventually have to learn to deal with her daddy issues about, and the story representing her mother. There's even an entire mizuka backstory here that can be told that can be super good, but they didn't really get into it enough. I imagine the real reason the lotus troupe ended was because mizukapapa was heartbroken over losing his wife, but(4/5)
