Too many meetings!" among which were also those who clamored for "more comfy nation building!" initially. >>291115706>it should feel earned and valuableI used to think like that in the past as well, but I've changed my mind, because if the narrative is shaped in a way where hard work is proportionally rewarded it would not only make the setting feel too idealistic/utopic, but it would also make the protagonist seem like they only made gains indirectly. Rather that they grabbed their gains themselves by their own hands, it feels more like they worked hard earning "karma points" and were simply handed their gains by the karmic laws for a proportionate amount of effort. You always need to include some element of chaos into things and can't make it too orderly.
