It's one of those things that just had to happen. Though, I would imagine that some of the Genshiken boys are a little salty because of it (in a friendly 'Tanaka, you cheeky bastard~' kind of manner).There's also Saki and Kousaka who had been dating for a certain time up until that point too. I sort of have this fantasy of getting really good at my craft and then going to cons and stuff to meet people and finding a girlfriend, but a part of me feels like that's delusional because most woman who go outside in my strike range are in a relationship and that maybe I should just be doing more volunteer work or going to more public competitions to meet people instead.

I couldn't end the lockdowns or bring back the lost third spaces and I had to deal with the psychological loss of these things, just as every other person had to do. Throwing your hands up and saying "I'll just let my problems become worse because The World happened to me" obviously isn't a solution, but pretending everything is a personal problem is it's own moral failing.
