How popular are furry characters in this board?
Depends on what you'd consider furry. A lot of what I would enjoy would probably just be considered "kemono" and not furry. That said, there's probably not much of a distinction there, at least not one you could state outside "Japan/western" or "what I like/what I dislike"./a/ is still talking about Hitomer, so they clearly don't hate it. But good luck convincing /a/ to openly admit that.
