It is a thoroughly mediocre franchise that is carried entirely by the production value of the anime that successfully altered the public's perception of the badly drawn manga. There's a reason why this series saw no significant growth in sales or popularity for 3 full years. When oeople say they like Demon Slayer, they don't mean they like Demon Slayer by Koyoharu Gotouge. What they really mean is they like Demon Slayer by Ufotable.

which translation should i read? the official one is kinda bad. for instance they somehow don't understand how japanese eras work, the way they translate the hand demon's dialogue makes it seem that each era represents a different imperial dynasty rather than a different emperor. which is fucking insane
