Why is /a/ so fucking dead? I've noticed that bout 3-4 months ago there was a sudden wave of dying out and now threads that used to hit bump limit can't even muster 200 posts.

Any sincere post you make will get spammed by a ban evader with 2 extra devices and 5 proxies shouting /pol/ insults at you. General decline in post rates led to a feedback loop where the spammers can easily push out remaining native posters, further reducing the post rate and real board activity. It's just a totally broken board that needs extreme moderation to clear out the raiders like the sharty and the mentally ill people that have been spamming for years.

When they get posts deleted and banned they go cry about moderation ruining things because they feel entitled to have gutters into which they can defecate. The mental illness just causes them to do it for years on end instead of hopping over from /v/ and /pol/ and twitter to shitpost once in awhile. That's the entire reason the "yurifags are doing X, so I must shitpost about it in opposition" style of shitposting has a community on twitter that post the same way there that they do here. There isn't enough activity on 4chan to satisfy chronic shitposters anymore so they're taking their theater to twitter and reddit, right down to the part where they'll try to use reddit as a pejorative while shitposting on reddit daily. The mental illness doesn't make it "good-faith," it just results in people who will devote 8 hours a day to bad faith shitposting
