>>291285549There are rules but they are esoteric they are really important. All catchers are right handed because of lots of little things but 3 main reasons. A throw to third from the catcher would be delayed because you have to throw it across your body this is also the same reason 3, short stop, and second are also always right handed because it delays throws to first. You cant catch and sweap or hold the glove over home plate without having to spin your body around to do it. Then lastly and the biggest one anyone with the arm strength to be catcher thats left handed would just be a pitcher where they are way more valuable>We have left handed catchers they are called pitchersis an old baseball saying.
