Shadow Ushio also already "uploaded" into her past self at one point, potentially committing that abomination to an extent at a time when everyone was desperate to have as many allies as they could get as possible and get Shadow Ushio back in more of a body. Regarding Shiori, she seems to have a different dad, namely Ryuunosuke, in the ending, and the girl named Haine in the modern day is her sister. If she has a different dad, how does she even exist, let alone look the same? I got the impression she was a bit taller and boisterous in the final episode compared to the one flashback of actual Shiori, so maybe the intent was she really did change at least a little there. Otherwise, unless her mom remarried to be with Ryuunosuke, that feels like a particular universal discrepancy.

Shadow Ushio cause-and-effect erasing herself by erasing Hiruko in the past was poignant in part due to this, as she seemingly knew she might harm people just like Hiruko did if she stuck around. Possibly pulling a Shide, even if accidentally somehow, isn't good.
