I recently watched it all the way through due to hearing a little girl I know mention that she liked it (and was going to cosplay Maomao) and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The plots are fun and intriguing, Maomao and Jinshi have a fun dynamic, and overall the story just kind of has a certain je ne sais quoi to it that kept me hooked. It helps that Maomao herself is very cute. As female protagonists go she's in the upper echelons.
