Yuru Camp rewatch threadToday we watch and discuss and post about episodes 6 and 7>Meat and Fall Colors and the Mystery Lake>Night by the Lakeshore and Campers of All SortsMy favorite arc of the season, perhaps of the show, but that's a difficult call to make when there are so many good camps ahead of us
Previous threads, for those intrested in going back or if you've missed them>>290606658 (ena bday)>>290855593 (ep1)>>291020782 (ep2&3)>>291177848 (ep4&5)I believe we found a much better balance of posting in the last thread. I saw many more anons posting their thoughts as opposed to just a couple dominating the thread. Let's hope that continues and more and more come out of the woodworks to post their thoughts!I also saw a few anons say they were catching up. Hope you've caught!I will once again be limiting my posting to stitches or my absolute favorite shots. I shall leave the light recapping to the usual suspect. But I WILL be sharing my thoughts and insightsFirst insightShimama is very pretty
Shimarin imagining herself shimagrilling on her new mini camp grillIt can double as a little fire standHow convinient!
Also have I jumped into a different timeline or something? I'm remembering a scene here where Ena drops a coin into the grill making the joke that it's a donation box. Is that from a different anime? Is that from a future episode? I swear it happened here and then the joke doubled because nadeshiko did the same thing when she called it a donation box a couple minutes later.... ???Anyways, ena is cute btw, not sure if that matters
Rin has still got her schizoid walls up lolI appreciate how slowly they build these relationships. We know from the very first minute of the show that Rin will eventually go camping with them, but it's sure taking its sweet time to get there. And that's a good thing! It'll make the group camp all the more rewarding. I like that Rin has accepted Nadeshiko, enough to even think to buy her a souvenir from Nagano, AND that despite this she's still uncomfortable going into uncharted social territory. Imagine how cramped the club room would be with FOUR yurus in there
Nadeshiko got her delicious chocolates!Another thing I have to say about this scene is that I like this misunderstanding here>ena DEMANDED that rin bring the grill to lunch tomorrow>shima KNEELED and SUMBITTED to QUEEN ENA's order>shima then invited nadeshiko to join lunch, or to perchance grill with her on a different day>nadeshiko misinterpreted this as a camping grill session>she invites rinI just find it funny that, even though it was definitely not intentional this time, Ena is STILL the reason this camp happened, in a way lol. It's also very nice to see them properly decide to go camping together after their first two times were a bit out of the ordinary
>>291334517Ena is such a good girl
I like how we get right into the HIGH OCTANE CAMPING ACTION this arc
>>291334657Trvke post (trvth nvke)Rin experiences the comfiness of cars for camping
I love Sakura so much man she is so gorgeous and cool she is SO COOL look at her she drivesI want her to take me on a nightdrive down the hills I want her to give me a nightcall to tell me how she feelsI want to point out this little moment here, though. Rin is asked where the grocery store is, and when she tells Sakura the name "zebra," Sakura responds by mentioning the specific highway it's close to. It sounds innocuous and pointless, but what this actually does is create a connection between the two of them as they're both road knowledgeable. I could be reading much too much into this, but it does feel like this line has some kind of purpose behind it. Afterall, we could just SEE them go to zebra. And, infact, we do, so this little line is redundant here unless you consider that it's there for the purpose of giving them this subtle connection as seasoned travelers. Am I being too autistic here?
Another thought I had (I am aware I'm writing alot, I'll try to calm down, I just love this show and these episodes alot) is that since Nadeshiko actually got the recommendation for this campsite, Lake Shibire, from Aki, there is another subtle connection made here. Rin is going to either consciously or subconsciously respect Aki a bit more now, seeing that she knows what she's talking about when it comes to camping. She isn't just some goofball with a 980-cent-tent. She has some knowledge of campsites to be able to give a great seasonal recommendation. Thus, Rin has now connected with Sakura about driving, and gained respect for Aki; Bearing thus in mind, remember now that they're on their way to zebra where they will meet Aoi, thus making a physical connection. This arc is all about Rin expanding her horizons and beginning to connect with others, even if it's at a distance. And this comes after the declaration from her in the library that she "doesn't mix well with them all." Stellar writing. Rin is slowly realizing that she has more in common with others than she thinks and that she may mix with them better than she realizes>WORDS WORDS WORDS WORDS WORDSIt peeves me how somtimes the typesetting overlays ontop of the japanese. Sometimes I wanna see both of them. But I understand it's easier to overlay. Thus, I made these edits of this set of campsite examples Aoi gave. If you want individual ones I can post them but I'd rather not waste the 5 image slots so soon on it
>>291334321It's Rin's birthday
>>291334862Is it really? That's awesome, she has a hat for it! This thread can double as a Rin birthday thread now!
Aoi is so so pretty
And there was that physical connection I was talking about. I'd love to physically connect with Aoichan, if you know what I mean...
Loved this little moment in the car. What a fun prank
These are also two stitches
Car camping
>>291334879Yes, Rin's birthday and she gets a hat
There are Rins and Nadeshikos everywhere for those who have eyes to see them
Meanwhile, we take a quick look into Aki's day. It would have been nice to see a little bit more of it, but I understand the need to focus entirely on one campsite after the previous arc was so "wide" in what it covered. Two campsites, rin's roadtrip, an onsen visit. There was alot going on. In this arc, we've got one single campsite and all the set up for it. Aki's little scene here is arguably the least connected to the rest of the arc, but it shows us that she, too, can solo camp like Rin. Again, connection in subtlety. Perhaps they're not as different as Rin thinks.......

Chiaki finds a classy granpa cookin on a skillet. Aki LOEV meat.
Now that we've reached the campsite, I'll take a little break from posting. There are several stitches coming up but I'd want to give some space for others to post. Also I'm out of things to say for now unless I just yap about my love of autumn colors and Sakura. I will do both of those things eventually when I post collages later today

Well I had a crazy week and waited way too long to start watching, screenshotting, and webming, but have a template to share with you while I finish up my rewatches, and I'll try to make sure the thread doesn't archive before I post my other stuff.
Also nobody posted this one?
>>291334321i loved this series, i used to watch SoL anime all the time, now it just makes me sad
Rin seems like she's not much of a morning person. Perhaps that's also why she didn't want to wake up at dawn to see sunrise over Fuji-san with Nadeshiko.A very sleepy morning Rin.This is mainly my excuse to post Shimamommy again. Also, it's Rin's birthday?!? That means Shimamommy was squeezing out our favorite camper on this very day! I bet she's pretty glad she did.
Date with Rin at a campsite where we discuss UFOs and cryptids after we've made passionate love under a starry sky
I've made/am making a lot of webms this time, at least for episode 6.
>>291339542Was waiting for you to post it :)>>291336919You certainly mean catch up to this episode, right... right??? You arent thinking of.... wafching ahead, are you?
This is the conifers anime. New season when? Is there any other show like this?
>>291341377We're actually doing these rewatches to prepare for season 4. We don't have an exact date of release, but we're expecting spring. It'll be sometime in 2027 though. It's been announced.
I thought about doing a SICP edit on the steamed buns. But, just not enough time.

>>291338798I was gonna continue, but I took a nap and wanted to wait for others to wake up. I started the thread very early. It was like 3am lol. I should really be waiting until thr actual morning or afternoon when there's traffic
>>291341518Some weeks the very early start will work out fine for me, but other times I'm definitely asleep.Anyway, no big deal, as long as the thread doesn't archive in the meantime.

Anyway, I'm well-rested now and finishing up my rewatch. Waking up to see the early start gives me a kick in the pants, so to speak. If the thread was later I might've procrastinated a bit.Although I really wish I had some coffee...
>>291341647Yeah that's my only worry. We were apparently camping on page 10 while I was alseep :l but I was awake and I saw the birthday hats and I thought of that little meme to do with it. Very serendipitous because I did not realize it was also Shimarin's birthday
>>291341757Nadeshiko will cherish [the memories of the gift] forever.
>>291341377>>291341493Hard to really say. There definitely are tons of confie shows out there, but I truly cant think of many that come close to the quality of Yuru Camp across the board and reach the same levels of comfy. Yuru Camp really is as close to masterpiece as you can get. It's a peak iyashikei. Here's some personal recs for shows that I also find confie. They may not be part of the same gcdct genre though>mono (rewatch starts soon btw)>hibimeshi>non non biyori (closest in terms of set up and quality)>ruri rocks>kinme's laundry autism show (forgot the proper name)>ame to kimi to>teibou nisshi>flying witch>maid-san's food diary>super cub>futanari solo camp (quite QUALITY but it's camping atleast and does get comfy fairly often)>shumatsu touring (wouldn't exactly call it comfy, per say, feels more adventurous, but they do camp sometimes and travel on a bike)>Frieren is mega comfy>Apocolypse Hotel (half comfy half whacky shenanigans)>CITY is a great iyashikei despite not being one>since I've gotten kinda far from the original question at this point and am just listing animes I like, 100 days of awajima was peak softdrama. Grow up show was a ton of fun (pic rel). Maomao's show is quite comfy. I like spy x family.>and of, the best anime of all time that eclipses even yuru camp, KEION
Rin's powers of prediction are quite good.
do these threads stay up for the whole week?i cant post/watch on some days

>>291342228So far each of them has reached both bump limits and theyve been up until around tuesday or so. The first one lasted all the way until the next Thursday. I wouldn't be worried about them archiving on their own. It seems there are many of us (myself included) commited to keeping it alive until both limits are reached. Post when you can! I hope you'll find the time yurubro. Stay gold
>>291342240She is simply using her superior imagination to divine the taste of the meat. It may as well be physical
>>291342196This anon has excellent taste. Listen to this anon. Of those, I'd say Non Non Biyori is probably your best bet if you need an immediate hit of comfy in much the same vein as Yuru Camp.>>291342228They've been lasting for quite a few days so far. Certainly into the weekend and probably past it is very likely. But of course, there's no guarantee. Last one lasted 5 days and hit bump limit.

Lots of subtle little Rin smiles in episode 6. She really likes her new friend.

It's PEAK. still only on s1 but every episode is amazing and wonderful and comfy. Vastly different premise, but still hits super high CPM>hibike euphonium. Comfy and fun. Leans into band drama more and more as the show goes on. You can pretty much never go wrong with kyoani shows (atleast older kyoani)>haruhi. Idk if i'd call it comfy exactly, but there certainly are some episodes that are. Overall it's one of the best "high school club" shows out there>I like dragon maid, but it's more comedy than comfy>sora yori mo toi basho. If you haven't seen this, don't look up anything about it, just watch it immediately.>girl's last tour. Comfy post apocalypse show>sora no woto. Beloved by /a/ for good reason. Also comfy. Don't know how I forgot it in my original list lol>keion is my favorite and I love the girls with instruments genre, so bocchi, girls band cry, current age BANG dream (havent seen oldori yet) are all highly rated by me>not super into isekai, but some that I've seen that I like and are comfy are farming life in another world (pic rel. Elf foot wine.) And saving 800000000000 million gold in isekai. Weakest slime tamer (magicu baggu) was comfy, but it was on the weaker side story-wise.>sleepy princess was comfy>ikoku nikki was more drama focused, but it got comfy sometimes>read the Yotsuba manga if you havent. It's required reading for posting here and it's the most comfy mangaI'm gonna stop now and get back to posting about Yuru Camp lol
>>291342865>picthis is getting a new season right?
>>291342903Well it just had a second season during this past spring, I think it was. Perhaps you missed it? No word on s3, but if it got a s2 I assume it will get a 3
The other one to mention is Yama no Susume. There are times where it gets a bit dramatic, and might not always feel so comfy. The girls are doing hard things, and all that effort pays off. The SoL stuff is very comfy, and there's great comedy and the girls are all very cute.In one of the other threads there was talk of maybe doing a rewatch of that at some point too (and some people expressed an interest in watching it for the first time). Would certainly be after Mono, if we do that.
Saying goodbye to Shimamommy for now.

>>291343037Rins dad is so fucking gay brosHow do you ONLY put on baby inside of Shimama??
Saying hello to Sakura for now.
Always thought it was a bit odd/rude that Rin was in back and Nadeshiko sat up front. I would think both girls would be in back, especially since Sakura is acting as the chauffeur here. I dunno maybe it's a cultural thing. Not to suggest that Rin wouldn't mind being back there by herself, but then Sakura also wouldn't mind being alone in front. But Nadeshiko chose her onee-san over Rin-chan.
>>291341377>This is the conifers anime
Some deep intel from Chiaki on Lake Shibire.
>>291343200It would be illegal for Rin to be in a front seat. She is under the size and weight limits. Nadeshiko is just barely over the size and weight limt by millimeters and grams.
You know why.
At the end of all this, we're gonna need to rank all their outfits.
>>291336919
Look at Rin being all friendly with a OAC member.
>>291334983I like the bit at the end where Rin reacts, too.
>>291343341I did want to point out how cute that cardigan sweater is. Veey cute. Shima also has some great /fa/ here. Always a fan of those thick scarf collars
>>291343459Yeah, shes getting to see a fun sibling dynamic she personally lacks and has probably never seen considering her only close friend is also an only child (until she met the pink inu)
If I had a nickel for every time I've made a webm of a cute girl opening something and looking inside... I'd have at least three nickels.
It's very important that we also see Aoi from behind. Just so we can compare to Kurea in her service outfit.
Meanwhile Chiaki is checking out a potential campground for them. She seems to like it.
She has an encounter with a very classy older gentleman.
Two people who love Nadeshiko very much.
It's a pretty cool campsite. If there was nobody else there, it'd be my kind of place.
~konichiwa!~
The happy campers say goodbye to their ride, and start moving their stuff to the campsite. But our story is not yet over.
I'll post the rest of my stitches for the episode nowThis one is very beautiful, though, I wish it had continued a bit so that they would be in the center of the frame
Because Sakura's gonna get some motherfucking hot chai.I love this whole scene.
Love these fall colors
Unfortunately Nadeshiko died.
This is a really nice building, too. Bet the owners are very proud of their campsite
Why did Rin do it? Did she not want to share the meat?

We finish episode 6 with a history of sobaudon. Good to know!

>>291334673Is every Sakura equipped with the Nissan ATTESA® all-wheel-drive system?
Pretty lakeI love lakesForested lakes are peak beautiful. The only way this gets any better is if you add mountains in the mix
Overall another great episode. My favorite is really the chai tea and some of the stuff with Rin's heart softening towards Nadeshiko. The way she looked when she saw how happy Nadeshiko was about the gift was priceless. This is definitely very much a bonding camp for the two of them, moreso than the last time when Nadeshiko just showed up (or the prior time when Nadeshiko just showed up). This is their first camp where Rin properly consented to a camping trip with another person, so that's pretty special. But we'll get to that in episode 7......which I haven't watched yet. All those webms took a bit of time. I gotta get some meat in my belly too, so a bit of a pause before you see any more from me.Anyway, the moral of the story this time is Shimamommy and Sakura are two cool older ladies and you should respect your elders so they will enable your camping. No camping set-up this time, but we did get a campfire grill set-up montage at least.
>>291334634Oh, you know what? I never made that connection. I didn't realize Rin was inviting Nadeshiko to join her and Ena to grill something, but that makes a lot more sense. I thought Rin rejected the Ena grill scenario entirely (and maybe she did until she decided to invite Nadeshiko after all), and then separately Rin thought to ask Nadeshiko to grill with her at some vague time.Ena really is the puppet master.
>>291343988WOMB POUCH AND BUTTA>>291343807I remembered what I wanted to say about Sakura here specifically. It comes back to my comments about Rin making connections. Nadeshiko tells her that she could tell she was having fun during the drive. She obviously knows her sister well enough to understand that she is having a good time, FUN, if you will, even though she's not outwardly behaving like Pink Yuru herself. It's important for Rin to understand this, because she, too, was having fun during the drive and behaving much like Sakura. Reserved and quiet. Very introspective, I guess, as opposed to Nadeshiko's doggyness. So Rin is seeing first hand how someone else is like her, not just in terms of being a road warrior, but also in her general demeanor and behavior. This also speaks to why Nadeshiko was so easily able to connect with Rin, but I do believe that was pointed out already in past threads when we talked about how they're very similar. Still, this episode was about Rin realizing that they are in some ways. We also see Sakura go off and explore on her own, grabbing some chai tea, enjoying the view of the lake. All very Shima-esque activities, which we saw first hand in the previous arc during her solo travels. Note also that although Sakura is said to go driving to hang out with friends, we also see her hanging out with herself in this very episode. It's safe to assume she strikes a balance between these two, similar to how Rin will eventually end up being, as per the introduction of the show. You could potentially say that Sakura's social personality is the end-state of Shimarin, though that would probably be reductive because there are certainly things that set them apartWith that, those are all the thoughts I have on episode 6 specifically. Atleast any new insights that haven't already been ingrained in me over past rewatches so much that I don't even notice them anymore and just inherently know them as intrinsic wisdom
>>291334867The demon core.
>>291344152Take your time anonIve got my stitches ready, but still have to make my collages and watch my first episode of the fall season and eat some BEANSI also agree, this was a very good episode. I felt like the build up/set up to the campsite was very well paced. We got to see little bits of the others doing their things, too. It was nice to see sakura, ena, and shimama again after they were mostly or entirely absent in the last arc>>291344251>i didn't realize Rin was inviting Nadeshiko to join her and Ena to grill somethingLmao. You literally did exactly what Nadeshiko did!
>>291343492That's a good point, too. Only child Rin kinda gets an onee-chan in this episode.
>>291344365>Lmao. You literally did exactly what Nadeshiko did!Well not exactly. I thought Rin was inviting Nadeshiko for a non-camping cookout. I just didn't connect it to Ena.
>>291344269>This also speaks to why Nadeshiko was so easily able to connect with Rin, but I do believe that was pointed out already in past threads when we talked about how they're very similar.Indeed, but if were gonna talk about it, this is kind of the episode to talk about it.Nadeshiko's relationship with Sakura, even her readiness to impose on her like she also does with Rin, is very instructive. But despite being imposed on, Nadeshiko is still respectful and tries to bring something to the table that makes her imposition worth it, even if it's just her warmth and showing how much she's enjoying the experience while she's with that other person. Nadeshiko is very easy to like and get along with, and her happiness is infectious.I'm sure many people who enjoy this show and are in these threads are introverts too, and don't need me to say this, but introversion isn't asocial or anti-social. It's just a different energy state. Rin, or Sakura, can absolutely be social with somebody like Nadeshiko, and a little push to do so usually isn't such a bad thing at all. Nadeshiko strikes me as the type of extrovert who knows how to do it right and tries to connect with an introvert like Rin in a way that isn't abrasive. That skill surely comes from growing up with a sister like Sakura.Which kind of makes for three characters now who are good with Rin: Ena, Aoi, and Nadeshiko. We haven't seen much in the way of interaction with Rin and Chiaki together. But it's perhaps suggested a bit in episode 2 that they've at least met and Chiaki knows enough to back off and not push Rin to join the OAC.At any rate, this is a show that respects Rin's introversion, and that's very cool.
>>291345767Oh yeah? Prove it. Give Yuru Camp a kiss.
Happy birthday Rin!

>>291346836I wish I was her husband
>>291343623I forgot to critique his campsite earlier, but what is there to say really that Chiaki didn't?Obviously, a cast iron is pretty heavy, but the best way to do a cook like this if you're gonna do it. Use as small a cast iron as you can get away with (and hey, practice at home first). Wood will definitely put soot on your cast iron, but it'll clean off relatively easily compared to some other implements. The use of an elevated grate really helps. Don't just stick it in the fire. Always clean the bottom ASAP and don't do multiple camps between cleaning. What I really like is his tent. I've never one-poled it myself, but it's essentially a lean-to. The elevated bed platform is very good for keeping warm. I mentioned in a previous thread about air being a good insulator from the cold ground which will suck the life right out of you. I assume that bedframe is assembled from smaller parts that pack up nicely. Anyway, doesn't need to be high, just get a cushion of air between you and the ground.Where I live, that exact set-up would end up with a bear in my tent. I'd want to cook a high-value meal like that at least 100 feet away from where I'm sleeping. The smell of it will travel far, and linger. It'll get into the ground around there, in the tent itself. But if that's not a concern, have at it, I'm a bit jealous.

Man I love this arc and this location
Another little detail that helps here is that now that nadeshiko has some experience camping, she's able to set up her gear on her own. She doesn't need rin to babysit her and set up her tent for her or anything like that. So while they are camping together, it's not that different from rin's normal trips. Nadeshiko was certainly curious, but not helpless here
>>291347626Neat wood grain pattern in the background. I didn't even notice that.

Do you want the bit where it pans up on her and she says something, or cut that bit out and just do the blanket, fluffing, and when she dives in?
>>291348406UhhhhhhhhhhhI like the pan up but im not sure about the dialog. Including subs sometime distracts from the webm. I'm happy with whatever you choose :)
This handsome guy and his drunk gf have a really big tent. It looks like there even got a heater inside judging by the pole sticking out of it, but in the next shot it didn't look like there was a tentfloor. Looked like it was just grass. Curious...
See what I mean? Idk what's going on here...
>>291348550It's just a big-ass lean-to. I've seen those before, they're a real thing.
>>291348570So I assume they'll be sleeping on cots or something like how grandpashima was
>>291348640Probably, yeah.
Another lesson from a veteran.
>>291348550i bought a pint glass with sensei on it and a sticker featuring the two of them from a local minobu shop when i visited nipponlandi love them

I wouldn't take a whole bottle with me camping, but I've taken a decent sized flask before. Nothing quite like Scotch around a campfire.
As I continue to (very slowly) watch through the episode, I'm realizing how important this camping trip is to Rin and Nadeshiko's friendship. They're going through some difficulties together, they're joking around with each other, they're actually really bonding. And Nadeshiko totally pulled her weight bringing in the veteran camper to solve the camp stove issue. Would Rin have gone and asked for help? I dunno, but Nadeshiko made it so Rin didn't have to. This isn't reciprocal favors anymore, this is genuine partnership.Nadeshiko's also reminding me of Yui from K-On a bit, here. If you've seen the Live House OVA you know what I'm talking about. Yui has her uses. So does Nadeshiko.>>291348206Also very much this. Nadeshiko makes herself scarce for a bit. They had time to set up camp, had a drink, but it's been a lot already since they left in the morning from Rin's house, and Nadeshiko knows there's stuff she wants to do and probably knows Rin needs a little break as well. She even asks nicely if she can go off and take pictures, giving Rin the opportunity to invite Nadeshiko to stay a bit longer for some other camp activity, but also giving Rin the opportunity to politely tell her to leave while letting it be Nadeshiko's idea.
Now that's a cool campsite.
Ena must be plotting something again behind Rin's back. Characters only sneeze in anime if somebody's talking about them. What's the puppetmaster up to now?
>>291343341Nadeshiko's episode 1 white dress + pink down jacket is number one.
You guys are really making me feel like rewatching thisI never watched the movie or the season after it
>>291350556Do it!
>>291350601Maybe I willYamano susume has also been something I haven't followed
>>291350556JOIN US JOIN US JOIN US
>>291350556We're gonna watch through all three seasons, the movie, and hopefully finish up close to when season 4 begins. So if you have any interest at all in watching along with us, you might as well start now before you're too far behind us. We're only up to episode 7 now.>>291350655Yama no Susume isn't happening yet. Probably not for a few months. There's Hibimeshi rewatches happening in another set of threads, but when that finishes we're going to start watching Mono on Saturdays in its place. But after that... maybe the Yamas? If there's interest. That's kinda unrelated to anything else, but there's been some rumblings of interest in the Yuru Camp threads, so it might be a thing. Meanwhile these Yuru Camp threads have a long ways to go.
>>291349751The two campers have become a proper team. A duo. Perhaps a.... !
>>291350655It'll be a fun time.
>>291350747For chugsie I'll tryI will start with Honoka's show though

>>291350774Honoka shares a VA with Rin, and they are my two favorite characters from the two shows. Coincidence?

After a while, every shot just becomes a webm.
Very kino episode.
She loved him from afar...
Phew, that's 30 webms for two episodes. And I am done.
Basically already said what I wanted to about episode 7. But it is indeed a great episode. Very much about Rin and Nadeshiko bonding and actually becoming friends, not acquaintances who owe each other favors. We get some important backstory for both characters too. Rin's been getting hand-me-down camp gear from her very classy grandpa, and Nadeshiko used to live far away and longed to see Fuji-san up close. And then Rin actually said she'll invite Nadeshiko to a camping trip.I vote for Roast-chan, by the way.
I went ahead and double checked, and indeed next week is just episode 8.
>>291350935The episode was very comfy and everything deserved to be a webm>>291351061Big true>>291351503Thank you for your service. I was waiting until you finished to post the rest of my stitches. There are only a few left for the episode
>>291351621Yeah it was a strong bonding camp for them both. This watch through, however, I did realize how much this arc does for Rin subtly. I said all of it earlier in the thread, but basically everyone they interacted with is about expanding Rin's horizons and realizing she's not as different from others as she might have been>connected with Sakura via traveling knowledge and Nadeshiko hinting that they have similar personalities>connected with Aki via gaining respect for her as a camper>also connected with Aki transgenerationally by Aki meeting her Grandpa>physically connected with Aoi at the store (giwtwm)>even these two neighbor campers they met today at the campsite. I like what you said about Nadeshiko getting help because of her extroverted personality. Very golden retriever-esque. I genuinely don't think Rin would have asked for help, I think she would have given up for the time and just fallen back on emergency ramen. So yeah, on the front end, or rather surface level, it's about Rin and Nadeshiko becoming closer friends. On a backgound level, it's about Rin specifically expanding her horizions. She's beginning to change a little and is more accepting of connection with others. Infact, it was a great move that it was Rin's idea to go share food with the neighbor campers. Drives home the lesson, so to speak. I think it's no coincidence that this episode had peak fall colors as the theme, with Rin in the middle of some change herself. Expertly written episode
And this, I believe, is the last stitch I made for this arc. My favorite arc. Collages are coming soon, but I still have a few to finish (I went overboard again, imagine my surprise)
