The abyss should remain mysterious but the main questions about the main characters and what's on the other side should be answered, I don't imagine tsuk pulling an open ending where they step through the final threshold into the unknown and leaves the series incomplete like that and I wouldn't want that either, that kind of ending doesn't serve any purpose other than to save the author from having to come up with a satisfactory ending to the main story
