The only thing HxH 2011 has going for it is that it adapts the Chimera arc but honestly, as far as storytelling goes, is an unnecessary detour. The way the original OVAs end with an open ending on which Gon may or may not be rewarded for his efforts and cleverness as a Hunter is just fine.
