just watched the last one of the movies. i really liked them. without getting too spoilery, there's a neat callback in the 3rd movie to the original series. a little hard to follow at times and kaleidoscopic, but overall pretty great.

God, the last movie is the most disorienting of the three. I vastly prefer the series but I won't write off the films as being bad. The first film had the best showcase of the new style without being too chaotic.
