Another recent Toei show Digimon Beatbreak had a shit ton of loose threads like 7 episodes before the end, and most of those got tied up satisfactory. I guess the thing with Meitantei for me is that the plot dripfeed is a fun experience in itself, but the actual mysteries are pretty low key and unexciting, hinging on a lack of communication between the main characters. It's not something I'd complain about given that this is a show for young children, but past series have had more exciting developments so the show can feel underwhelming. There's just a dissonance for me.
