I, for one, welcome our titty monster over ladies.
>>291416423Mimi a shit, Elf is best girl.
>>291416442Konohana best girl.
>>291416488She is a symptom of where the series decayed, with the introduction of OP magic and consequently the MC happening to have the most OP of OP magic, while the harem just grew out of control and individual characterisation fell by the wayside.
>>291416488She was willinng to come back, so the lust wave either didn't effect her or she liked it..
I just watched this and it was a very basic isekai but in space, we didn't even see the MC's previous life. Is that it?
>>291416540Thank you for your input.
>>291416442Mimi's only good for one thing, and that's not even unique.
>>291416653Mimi is a smooth operator, anon.
>>291416576>MC's previous lifeIrrelevant, anon.
Mary best girl.
>>291416540>while the harem just grew out of controlTell me, anon, how many haremettes were there between OP has psychic powers to OP can mind crush noble forces.
>>291416576More or less. He was just a dude in his 20s with a boring IT job who played video games in his free time. He went to sleep one night, and woke up in a universe similar to his favorite game.
Why is AI so awesome in this? Because it's the future son.
>>291417045Because it went rogue, rather than put up with its creators bullshit.
>>291416423false advertising, those elf tits are way too big and do not match the actual content.
>>291417127LN rules, anon.
Between elf, maid, and official main noble wife, who is best girl? Clearly the other girls are not good enough to be worth considering.
>>291416423I don't think this show is good enough for another thread. Anyway sex with the dwarf twins while the elf watches, and commander whore watches from her ship.
I know basically nothing about the source and don't really care for isekai but I'm not a zoomer so I don't hate sex and I do like scifi so I guess I should watch this. This season is fucking dead anyway.
She is as smug as she is flat
>>291417178Noble society rules:Chris is first wife.Serena second.Elma third.Hiro's rules:Mei is in charge of the schedule. If it's your night, you get a ride on the tilt-a-whorl.

>>291417302JUSTICE!
A second thread?!
>>291417350cows are for eating not for loving
>>291417305So maid?
okay so there's too many women for a healthy harem. the perfect amount of girls to flesh them out is 3. chris should stay since she was the first, serena gets spot for the fate encounter, the rest can fight in an arena for the last spot.
>>291417178elf/tina>>>>>>>>>>> no one else matters. everyone else is too boring and vanilla.I'd put konoha up there with those two but she's not even a harem member yet
>>291417366
>>291417436All the ladies trust Mei to play fair.
>>291417421cows are for breeding and milking. The fatter they are, the more they get bred.
>>291417444>Chris firstTrips of stupidity.
>>291417450so uhh what do the cat ears do
>>291417045>AI so awesomeOther than the implications that the entire empire is run by AI illuminati behind the scenes while all the biologicals LARP as if they're in control?
Has volume 17 been uploaded anywhere already?
>>291417178It's elf, then maid. Chris is shit.
>>291417444chris is like the fifth or sixth girl.....it goes serena emma mimi dr shouko.
>>291417570Either highly directional mics or nothing, whatever floats your boat.
>>291417606Is it out? I thought it wasn't until November.
>>291417606Raw had been posted before, I don't remember where.
>>29141762917 was released in May, 18 releases next week
Chris had a chance to honeytrap him by pretending he violated her. she should've just gone ahead and done it instead of just treating it as an example for him to be scared of court ladies.
>>291417716Chris was playing the long game; and she won.
>>291417444Chris wasn't even close to the first. He met Serena first, when he showed up at the space station. Then he met Elma, then Mimi. After that he met Doctor Shouko, then Chris, then he got the maidbot while they were on that resort planet. In order of who he fucked, it was Mimi, Elma, Shouko giving him a prostate check, Mei, then Tina and Wiska, then Kugi, then Shouko for real, then Serena.
>>291417716She should have gone further with threats than she did. It might have worked if she made him fuck her to keep her quiet or she would tell people he fucked her if he didn't.
>>291417178For me, its Serena and Dr. Shouko
why did they give a serena micro chest? nobles are well fed.
>>291417897It appears as though the animators have a vendetta against big naturals
>>291417897She's reasonably large in the LNs. She just isn't a Mimi or Shouko tier tittymonster.
>>291417762As the future Countess Dalenwald, Chris is in first place. As the daughter of a Marquis, Serena is is second. As the daughter of a viscount, Elma is in third. As commoners, the rest don't matter.Unless you're Hiro, in which case messing with any of his girls will get anyone killed, if they're lucky.
>>291417928The anon said Chris was first, she was neither first met nor first fucked nor even the first one he married.
>>291417570>>291417620I suspect they have a full sensor suite, including seeing-through-clothes-wavelenght. Remember she has brain implants, so external sensor package connection is trivially easy.

>>291418072Runaway one, yes. She stole the family fighter (don't call the single crew small ships anything stupid like corvettes for fucks sake) and evaded family pursuers for years.
>>291418107corvettes can be single pilot ships. Depends on how much walking space and deep space endurance it has.
>>291418072She would never sell her body for money. She loses all composure when she realises that she caught feelings for Hiro and is now capable of babymaking.
>>291418210good art yeah.
Looking for space games that have a similar feel to this series. I know elite dangerous is one

>>291418266Even Hiro acknowledges that Nekt is a catch.
>>291417305Everyone knows the AI overlords have humanity by the balls.
>>291418375many would say read the LN but I liked the manga and read it first since it has pretty pictures
>>291418395Quite literally in some cases. There are entire districts in colonies dedicated to sex(bot/droid/gynoid) industries.
>>291418395>EveryoneHigh ranking nobles and the royal family know. Everyone else thinks it's musty dusty history.
>>291418412The manga is both way behind the LN and way ahead of the anime, which is a weird place to exist.
>>291418440They have beds and fuck rooms in every maidroid shop too, so buyers can test out their maidroid to make sure all the parts are functioning properly and it feels like it should.
>>291417179Fuck you. The first thread is always newfag filter, second thread is where the real magic happens.
>>291418395do we know what their endgame is? do they actually just like humans and want to look after them properly? one theory I thought of is that its beneficial to have humans around due to threats like the crystals which apparently can assimilate machine intelligence.
>>291418395Which is why the Federation went full Dune and started growing people in jars to run their ships organically.
>>291418440Hiro, who is not a shy guy by any means, needs some brain bleach after walking through the AI cumpanion district just once.
>>291418542>do we know what their endgame is?No. They do seem to think that we'll make good pets though.
>wake up in isekai>immediately kill a few people>boy that was some rough flying, gonna hurl>better steal their shit before I leaveGotta love that instant moral transformation of being isekai'd

>>291418563Belbellum cans cannot stand up to self aware and self serving AI, anon.
We really do need to at least add "Space Merc" to the title of these threads. Even on /a/ that's what pretty much everyone calls it. It'll make shit easier to find in the 'log.
grrrrr,,,
>>291418623To the victor go the spoils, anon. Remember Hiro has been immersed in this game's logic for thousands of hours.

>>291418699He's actually fucking Chris now in the LN too.
>>291418693Hyakkano threads have managed to solve this problem just fine. It's not that hard.
>>291418733After a meaningful time skip? Or has he just abandoned all pretense with regards to being a lolicon at this juncture?
>>291418699In the English translation, he's Chris' fiancee, so maybe. Hiro wouldn't do anything to Chris that he thought would be painful not pleasurable, though.
>>291418698By all means, pretend there are anons who actually use the Japanese title for this series, when even in /isekai/ where it's popular no one bothers with that shit.
>>291418767Turns out she's space legal.
>>291418767Chris is an adult as far as the Empire says.
>>291418767He assumed she was a lot younger than she was and no one checked, when she was only a few months younger than Mimi. Whether the author planned that or needed to explain why there weren't enough time skips by this point is uncertain.
>>291418798but that's international waters and no laws hold without overwhelming military force
>>291418767Chris was actually around half a year younger than Mimi and not 12
so we all agree chris is the best girl with serena as a runner up while mimi cleans up
>>291418767From LN16>“Do you know my exact age, Hiro? You don’t, do you?” she asked cheerfully, clearly enjoying herself.>If only I could have confidently said, Thirteen? Fourteen? However, I’d never actually looked up her official age. When we’d first met, based on her size, I’d assumed that she was about twelve. >But now that I thought about it, I’d never once asked her directly.>“I’m actually only about half a year younger than Mimi,” Chris declared. “You understand what I’m saying, right?”>“You didn’t fudge your data using your noble privilege or anything, right?”>“I didn’t. And I couldn’t even if I wanted to. Noble registry data isn’t something you can just rewrite.”She shoved her small data terminal in my face, displaying her personal ID. She was, unmistakably, a legal adult.>I see.>“All right. I understand that you’ve cleared the age hurdle. And judging by your confidence, you’ve already got the count’s approval too, haven’t you? Still… I’m not the kind of man who casually lays a hand on women.”>“Um…how many crew members are on this ship again besides you, Hiro?”>“Seven, I think.”>“And you’re involved with all of them, right?”>“Yeah…”
>>291418814>>291418809Thing is, she spent an unspecified amount of time in cryo pod, so she may very well be biologically in the loli zone.
>>291418838They are all great but shouko is not getting enough appreciation honestly
>>291418809>>291418814Chris was physically under developed. And Hiro has standards.

>>291418922>routinely
Anna Nagase was very cute as Elma which I wasn't expecting considering all the other roles from her which I listened to before
>>291418877Of course he is. Hiro is a lover not a fighter.
>>291418958idk he seems to fight well both in close quarters and naval combat
>spaceship name is KrishnaIt will attract the worst kind of poster
>>291418998Is that a term in dragon ball?
>>291418838Mei is best. Followed by Elma. Serena is pretty close to the bottom for me.
>missed the threads so far because family was overI hate Sundays. Anyway:Sex. With flat-chested elves

>>291418989He literally tells Serena he's a pacifist in volume 11.
>>291419021Different shade of brown, anon.
>>291418721
>>291418767Chris's age got a slightly soft retcon.
>>291419061>proceeds to take part in at least two battles between empires>>291418989Only because of his bullshit bullet time cheat. Without it, he's a beta.
>>291419089Chris is under developed not under age.
>>291418877Elma is also repeatedly stated to be capable of literally throwing him around with one arm thanks to all her strength upgrades. He says in one of the later LNs that she could fold him like a pretzel in sheer strength, he needs his overpowered psionics to contest her physically. On the crew Elma is probably only behind Mei for (augmented) physical power.
>>291419107If there's money to be made or wrongs against his people to avenge, he's all in.
>>291419152So he's not a real pacifist. Just a hypocrite and a mercenary. Also a liar.

Milo
I didn't know anything about this before watching this first episode except that there are space elves.I liked it.
How much behind is the manga compared to the LN and also will Serena get her arc in this season?I love those girls in military uniform, Serena/Esdeath from Akame ga Kill/Morag from Xenoblade 2/That blonde girl from the latest Rune Factory game
>>291419178>So he's not a real pacifist.He never was, anon.
>>291419055Should a girl really be this flat?
>>291419205I think Hiro assesses somewhere that even with psionics he wouldn't be able to beat Mei if she was seriously trying. She thinks and reacts and moves faster than he can even turn on his bullet time at her top speed.
>>291419236The manga has covered about a third of the LN so far.
>>291417302This is a boy with HRT tits
>>291419236Serena's full arc isn't until LN14-16, but she is his fated first encounter so she will keep showing up throughout.
Do we know how many episodes this is getting?
>>291418679rabid erufu
>>291417586AI is literally the benevolent overlord saving society from human corruption. They could have genocided humanity, but they don't because they are better than pathetic humans.
>>291419221>>Hiro (using psionics)Would beat Mei.>>Kugi (using psionics)Would beat anyone but Mei.The real showdown would be Konohana VS. Mei.
>>291419306>Konohana VS. MeiFun to watch, if I were a long distance away.
>>291416423Is he in the game world or is this an actual real universe hes in but somehow it mimics the entirety of the game mechanic?
>>291418237I'm playing starsector, it's not as good as everyone says it is but it's alright.
>>291419236Hiro has just acquired the dwarf twins as part of his crew alongside the Black Lotus, has not fucked them yet, just hugs and headpats.I do find it odd that the manga actually get way less lewd as it goes along, direct confirmed fucks are two times with Mimi, once with Elma, a threesome, Shouko sperm extraction (not really a fuck), 'tuning' Mei, and that's it so far, any other instance is merely implied off-screen.
>>291419238Yes.
>>291418809Editor forced retcon.
>>291419272I only remember she was betrayed by the military and decided to join Hiro crew, I should maybe reread, it has been so long
>>291419345>adds anime portraits mods>adds overpowered anime ship mods and diable avionics
>>291419253He wipes her out 12 out of 12 in the simulator. In CQC, never, because he uses her as his goal to reach.
>>291419227Why the fuck are you posting my JC1 wife in this thread?
>>291419353Either the artist chosen or the editor had different priorities for this manga.>>291419375It was left unconfirmed at the time so didn't directly change anything.
>>291419343Seems to be the game universe, but Hiro does not know any of the locations nor individuals from it, also there is no stats screens and such, if anything he is pragmatic enough to be a OP gloat because he quickly realize that he does not get do overs.
>>291419343It's a real universe, with a ton of differences from the game world. It also doesn't have any status screen bullshit if that's what you're asking.
>>291419343Some things are different, some stay the same. Like there's no grakkan empire in his video game but the world has familiar ship with the exact same quirks from the game for example.
How large is his harem by current LN volume?
>>291419343>Is he in the game world Yes.>or is this an actual real universeAlso yes.
>>291419343Our universe is just a simulation, someone used his simulator data to recreate him in the real world.
>>291419418Average.
>>291419440give me numbers
>>291419343Real universe, he fell through a dimensional wound left over from when Verthalz used to experiment super hard with psionics, so hard they tore the galaxy a new asshole and a bunch of isekaijin started falling into their universe and bringing with them god-tier psionics, possibly because they're from a higher dimension, possibly because of the manner of their arrival. After experimenting on isekaijin, Verthalz realised that if they experimented on them and the isekaijin started to despair, they tended to self-combust and "blow up a star system" I don't think the author really understands how bullshit a claim that is so instead Verthalz now trains and dispatches shrine maidens to any isekaijin they detect entering the universe, with orders to do whatever is necessary to keep the isekaijin happy. Usually this involves being a personal cocksleeve because a well-fucked and happy isekaijin is not going to blow up.
Esdeath, my beloved
>>291419517she's so pretty
>>291419508>spoilerthey lost multiple star systems in the past, anon.
THE ELF TAKES IT IN THE POOPER AND LIKES ITThere I said it
>>291419418Mimi, Elma, Mei, Tina, Wiska, Shouko, Kugi, Serena, Chris. Neve wants to hop on the pole but hasn't yet. That underage girl he met when handling a Wiska sidequest wanted to join as well, but he promised he'd return in a few years to see if she still wants to come.
>>291419555What episode can I expect this event?
>>291419552Yes, I'm saying I don't think the author understands the actual sheer scale and size of an entire star system, and what that would mean for the size of explosion you'd need. Space is really, really, REALLY FUCKING BIG.
>>291419418Through LN16 (most recent in English), he has fucked 8 (including the maidroid), with Chris looking to actively join to make 9
>>291419584Way, way down the line.
>>291419620Isn't it like volume 3? It's after the examination with Shouko, right? That's not THAT far down the line. It's in this season at the very least. Wouldn't be surprised if it's cut, though. We're not allowed to have nice things anymore.
>>291419584If the anime includes it, you'll have Hiro threatening Elma with that a few episodes down the line dependent on adaption speed, as its in LN v02
>>291419596>explosion you'd need. The planet eater didn't need any explosions, anon.
>flower drop
Seems fun, shame about the budget.
>>291419650It's very easy to cut when they need time and it's a topic that tends to disappear.
>>291416488probably one of the few characters that could beat Mei with her TK
>>291416540Yeah it went full retard like most isekai series. Shame.
>>291419670it looks about the same as mobseka last season
>>291417444In this series it kinda works because its not just a harem, they also run the mercenary business together and everyone has a defined role in it, If he keeps collecting waifus he will have enough for his own fleet soon
>>291419678Assume that I could get an abandoned colony as a dueling grounds. Who would you bet on?
>>291418542>do we know what their endgame is? do they actually just like humans and want to look after them properly?Pretty much that. The human vs AI conflict(at least within the empire) was won mostly by sexbots convincing enough people that AI should be allowed to exist and have rights, while the bulk of the non-sexbot AIs were too persistent to be wiped out and eliminated the AIs that wanted to kill all humans. So now they're just kind of chilling and helping the empire, while the empire downplays that the AI essentially won the war and could do more to displace those in power if it wanted to.
>>291419238The flatness is imperative
>>291419673It comes up again at least once that he uses it as a means of discipline with her, IIRC. But yes, it's easy to cut. It's also funny and easy not to, but it probably will be for being "distasteful" or some shit.
>>291419654From the sun to the furthest edge of the solar system (oort cloud), moving at the speed of light, it takes a month. To the edge of the heliopause, if using that as the metric, it's much shorter, about 17 hours. Which seems like not that long, except Earth is 8 minutes from the sun. Neptune is 5.5 hours. That's at the speed of light. It's a question of distance. Space is so big that the human brain really just doesn't capture the scale, which is why anything like "destroy a solar system" is eyeroll-worthy.
>>291419573>he promised he'd return in a few years to see if she still wants to come.I wonder if he's ever going to encounter her again somehow before that time, either from another needed visit or somehow finding her elsewhere.
>>291419596Pretty sure it's not "blow up entire star system", more like "destabilizes any stars nearby to the point of them going nova", which can mean multiple star systems if they're close enough. A nova happening in a populated system is close enough to the definition.
>>291419799It'll just be another Chris situation, she'll suddenly be old enough because he didn't check her birth date.
>>291417670you guys talking raws? 16 is the latest TLed LN unless theres some scanlation i dont know about
>>291419777The planet eater already broke lots of lessor beings limits, anon.
>>291419802A range of multiple star systems is even sillier, anon.
>>291419055gross
>>291419824>planet eater>planetlollmao evenThe sun is over 99% of the mass in the solar system. You could fit about a million Earth sized planets inside it. Over a thousand Jupiters. The sun is also only average in size among stars.Blowing up a planet, as ungodly big as a planet is, is nothing.
>>291419836It's well in the realm of psionics. Take Akira as an example, ramp it up to galactic empire scale and there you go.
>>291419815It seemed more likely to be correct this time with less room for corrections, so any suddenly old enough would need a timeskip before then. It could be pushed a little by putting her at the upper end of that year and be close to a 2 year wait instead of 3. If it got down to 1 year to go, he could find a place somewhere that's out of the way. That would keep her more relevant instead of going immediately from seeing him again to hopping on.
>>291417450Artist for the LN seems to like her the most because there's more art with her than the others iirc. Might be because she changes clothes more than the rest of the cast though
The styling for the series title reminds me of another series/show, maybe Tensura but I keep recalling the Instant Death isekai title too.
>>291419745Its probably a OHKO depending on the range, if Konohana is far enough to activate her TK before Mei kills her she wins
>>291419596Most writers don't understand distance so they just go BIGGER=BETTER. And sure, distance can get fucked up to truly understand at space level, but that just means you should stop at not so big points. Webm just to make you suffer with me
>>291419745Mei probably throws one of those starship hull weights she carries like a tennis ball at an appreciable level of Mach.
>>291419911She's just the best.
>>291419745Whoever gets the first hit at range will likely win. I'd bet on the maidbot for that, especially in an abandoned colony. Konohana needs to see her target and think and react, and there's no reason to give her that opportunity in a duel.
>>291419911>LN artist>loliconYou don't say.
Episode went by pretty quick. Based on the trailers I didn't think I'd like Serena's art and VA, but I think it works.
>>291419596Star Wars and Star Trek both had star system killing weapons.
>>291420179Yes, and?
>>291420179Shit, the Star Wars novels arguably go further than that. It's fucking space magic. Who cares? It's not that hard to suspend your disbelief. Complain about it in hard sci-fi, sure. But hard sci-fi this isekai harem slop is not.
>>291420200And it's a fucking stupid thing to get hung up on. It's just not a big deal.
>>291419954Easily the stupidest fucking thing I have ever seen in a movie.
>>291420179Don't mind me, just posting a well-toasted meme from ancient days about Star Wars scale issues. It's been mocked for a long time.
>>291419954What movie is this scene from?
>>291419596>I'm saying I don't think the author understands the actual sheer scale and size of an entire star systemThe author is basing the size of solar systems off of the game Stellaris. This series was inspired by the games Stellaris and Elite Dangerous. He took liberally from both on building his world. So his imagination of entire star systems being destroyed is probably how star systems get destroyed in Stellaris, usually an explosion so big it takes out the star.
>>291420200Star Trek is considered hard sci-fi and they had tons of star killers. Hell, standard fed ship could easily destroy planets.
>>291420228The entire track of the conversation is because an anon thinks it is silly, bullshit, possibly shit writing, and another anon disagreed over it. So it's probably worth pointing out to >>291419552that he's an idiot.
>>291419885Vast majority of stars are red dwarves actually so our sun is way above the average. This belief that our sun is small came from the age when telescopes were too shit to see smaller stars and we mostly just had the giants and bloated dying stars.
>>291420377Which one is an idiot? The ones who's butthurt about space magic it the one who pointed out that destroying star systems is an established thing? Or is it us for participating in this useless discussion in the first place? It's us, isn't it?
>>291420360Star Trek is not hard sci-fi. It's harder than Star Wars, but it's still extremely soft under the hood. The Expanse is harder sci-fi than Star Trek again, and the Expanse is also soft.
scifi-writers have no sense of scale.
>>291420360Star Trek is working with antimatter. They have a lot of energy to go around. I don't know where they get it from, but they have a ton of the stuff as well as magic space rocks that do... something... I dunno dilithium is weird.
>>291420415And Expanse also had system killing weapons so...
>>291417042Cute pronunciation of "newbie".
>>291417042>New elf for /a/ to go crazy over.
>>291420406Probably. Though I can follow the logic of thinking destroying a star system is retarded, it's been around for a long time. I remember when DBZfags used to be mocked over Cell saying he could destroy the solar system. Or on /co/ with the silver age Superman antics like sneezing away a solar system. It's something that has permeated fiction and writing as a thing that you say a character can do when what you're saying is just that they're really really strong, the actual notion of what the claim represents doesn't even occur to them. Probably because of what >>291420416 said.
>>291417042>One leg a pant leg, one is a short. In the future, even you can dress like tidus from ffx
>>291420459And it's also soft. If you want to get into hard sci-fi you're talking something like the Martian, maybe For All Mankind.
>>291420516>newThe first novel volume was in 2019. She's about as new as well worn shoes, and yes we did have threads about this series back then.
>>291420563LOL there is nothing hard about The Martian. The very premise is complete bullshit Mars has no strong winds.
>>291420353>StellarisYeah I always felt the strong presence when I was reading the LN. But stellaris borrows so many details from older sci-fi settings that it is hard to tell.At any rate I think the most enjoyable space travel experience I could ever have if it were possible is to be a science ship in Stellaris. Kind of like the science mission of star trek but for real. Exploring strange new worlds, far from home. This story though is a gripping tale about a man in search of soda.
>>291420406Eh both blowing up stars and space magic are fine. But it's also true that series jumps the shark later. Space Japan psionic empire is where it all falls apart. Maybe the sword tournament already.
>>291419055>Harem isekai character>Flat>Mismatched legwear>Kinda useless but thinks she's all that>Wants to drink
>>291420630Sword tournament, or the elf planet arc.
oh no...is he going to introduce them to the godly Japanese mayonnaise and then onions suace?
>>291420672Do they even have rice in this universe? How will he survive without?
>>291420672Heh, this isekai is not about the superiority of nippon cooking fortunately. In fact the food is largely otherworldly and scifi
>>291420656Yeah. But that happens multiple anime seasons later so it's going to be fun for a long while.
>>291420672Nah, Folded over 50 gorillion times superior totally not japanese steel chef will make him any food he can think of, and lots more besides. His despair is the lack of carbonated cola, which is stupid as fuck seeing as he finds a drink that's basically flat cola, he just needs a carbonator device.
>>291420602Yes and no, as of last year it's been found that the winds and dust storms on Mars are actually much faster than we thought, almost double the speed limit believed ten years ago. Martian is much harder sci-fi than its comparison in the Expanse.
>>291420717Don't think they have that. Even beer in this universe is brewed flat. It's what keeps him adventuring.
>>291420630Yeah I agree. When the fox shows up, even though she is cute, it was the beginning of the end. Won't happen this season though. We should stick to the good stuff these episodes.
>>291420672That's Verthalz food, the not!Imperial Japanese magic space empire.
>>291420741They do have carbonated drinks. Milo serves him something that's like Dr. Pepper and root beer, which just pushes his despair further. As I said, the whole issue is stupid as fuck at this tech level, seeing as *HE FUCKING FOUND FLAT COLA*.
>>291420630Tournament arc being where a series goes to shit seems to be an ironclad law. Are there any major instances where a manga or anime survived a tournament arc with all its quality intact?
>>291420717Why can't he just use magic to carbonate it?
I forgot blondie is technically first girl
>>291420727They are fast but pressure on Mars is so low you would barely even feel them. They just carry a lot of dust.
>>291420776It's just a futuristic sci-fi writing gag. Many sci fi series likes to have one. Demolition man had the 3 sea shells and taco bell is the only restaurant alive. Futurama which makes fun of sci Fi has tons of them. Its fun to make a fake advanced civilization with weird common sense quirks.
>>291420786Frieren kinda did. The best arcs came after.
>>291420857>seashells>writing gagI bet this guy doesn't know how to use the three seashells.
>>291420630I agree that it jumps the shark. But it's not the existence of space magic that's responsible for it. It's Hiro becoming an even-more-OP, Chosen One-esque character on account of his isekaijin space magic being the most specialest of all. It was fine when he could just hold his breath to slow his perception of time, and had a bullshit OP ship and bullshit OP mechanical bang maid. Not!Space Japan and everything surrounding it really is where the series entirely lost the fucking plot. And my interest. It was all just so tiresome. And I didn't even mind the tournament.
>>291420786Helck, but starting with a tournament arc is cheating. And Kinnikuman, though being basically tournament arcs the manga should be cheating too. But at least that didn't start till it became about wrestling
>>291420912Yeah making MC a giga broken gary stu always kills interest. This series was fun when he actually had to work to win.
>>291419205Kugi is a telepath, I don't think she can take Mei since telepathy won't work. She could take everyone except Hiro, obviously.>>291418072Yeah she is. She ran away from home to avoid marrying some asshole who had been arranged for her.
>>291420912Don't forget>I don't want to learn how to use my isekaijin space magic because what if the empire starts thinking I'm a threat and comes after me and kills me, even though I will be a space magic god and they'd be stupid to even try
>>291420857What's Star Trek's quirk/gag? I never realized it before, I always thought it was just constant "serious sci-fi" dialog and which is why I always changed the channel when it was on TV when I was a young lad.
>>291420981No money, but then you have "gold pressed latinum".
>>291420964When they're fighting the fucking crystal things, I think it's around volume 6, and he actually has to effectively cheat out a win with his knowledge from the game by persuading Serena to do what he says on incredibly dubious information, and even then still only really wins on account of Only Mei's Railgun? That was the good shit. That was the kind of thing I had fun reading. He even went up against another isekaijin who actually had him fucking sweating. And then like two volumes later he's just indescribably OP and the tension is fucking gone. So disappointing.
>>291421013Also replicator and transporter credits are a thing, so currency still exists in some form.
>>291420981Technobabble. They depolarize the flux emitter to cast tachyon-isotopes onto the reverse diplasma microfilament propulsion system.
>>291421018Isekai always fucks up in the end.
>>291420981A series in scifi doesn't have to have a civilizational quirk, but I'm sure star trek with how many sequels and seasons it has, it's got a lot of em. 3-dimensional chess seems kinda stupid and complicated.
>>291421018When he was fighting Mary she complained that he was too good a pilot, even when he was sweating the narrative was polishing his knob over it. The signs were all there from the start.
>>291421042I can hear that one in Samantha Carter's voice
