Really great way to experience DBZ if you grew up watching it in the 90s and aughts and just want to have fun, or to be reminded of what sort of happened in DBZ in a short time span.
I've not watched one in a while but recently watched the short Sailor Moon one and had a good chuckle.

I liked DBZA from the start, but I learned to appreciate it even more after their commentary. Too bad I can't say the same for Hellsing Abridged, compared to DBZA I found it to be one big mess, with annoying accents and subpar humor. If you look at most earlier work of fiction, most of their storyline wouldn't pass today, but the bar was at the dead-bottom, so they were able to get away with corny storylines and shoddy writing.

Abridging is a very hard thing to do. Its one of the very few cultures that I know off that I can easily argue that it has got substantially worse over time. For whatever reason people have forgotten that the main thing is to make it shorter than what it originally was. Abridge != funny comedy but it does == shorter. Most of the shows now are just random bullshit for 20 minutes trying to emulate TFS. I could write essays on abridged series, but I want to mention the below at least.

Abridged series worth watching.
Gantz Abridged Series was released back in 2008, by HBI2K. Its quality and some of its jokes are a bit odd. But for a near complete 1 man show, it did head and shoulders above most others. It will live rent free in my head the episode of bringing Donovan from Berserk to be the 1 black guy in Gantz abridged and every calling Kado a homophobe.

Early LK YGOTAS - Pretty peak, still fucking cracks me @ episode 5 or 6 where he has "new episodes every week". Biggest fucking lie on the internet. I will give credit to him at this stage of his life, he dealt with the most bullshit out of anyone when it comes to Youtube. Especially early Youtube. I remember vividly having to troll through to find CardGamesFTW.

Lanipator's YYH was unbelievably good for its time, the humour's fucking hilarious as well. Definitely one of the better solo editors for the time. He had a really good voice for delivering lines as well during the show.

Last one https://youtu.be/EXk-u-1aLLs - AOT Abridged. I cannot find the original creators name, but I do know his know gone professional into acting, very talented. Its a shame he didn't do more. Has fantastic line delivery and does some pretty kino singing.
