Sure, Naruto and Obito are similar in the sense they were both hyperactive kids and they both wanted to be hokage at some point, but that's about it. Obito doesn't have a similar past to Naruto's who was ostracized and hated by the villagers because of the nine tails inside him, which is the main reason he wanted to become hokage and get acknowledged. Obito didn't share the same struggle Naruto went through, unlike someone like Gaara. People try to headcanon that he was ostracized by the village for being an Uchiha, but that's not true, considering how he was getting along with the elderly, and how he said he knew all the old people in Konoha.
