Before 2017 or so /ylyl/ was the origin of a huge number of memes that became YouTube mainstays, as in, the actual source where people came up with the jokes and everything esle was downstream. Then one guy started spamming early tiktok (instagram?) clips with a sound sample from a Jack Black movie (fliggu giggu) and he was absolutely relentless. He was posting 16-18 hours a day, consistently over months, so any time you entered a /ylyl/ thread his replies took up 2/3 of the thread and it became completely pointless to even open one. This guy never stopped, even after the board was completely dead, he continued posting, continues to this day as far as I'm aware. There's people like that who approach shitposting with a level of dedication that is similar to that of a professional athlete or musician. There's just nothing you can do against that level of dedication and the Mods are useless fucks.
